So yeah, it came out today. Anyone else get it?
I'm having fun with it so far. The visuals are great and the story is pretty interesting. The gameplay takes a bit of adjusting to, but once you get the hang of it it's pretty fun.

I was going to pick it up yesterday but they didn't have it so I caved and bought Prince of Persia: The Sands of Tim for GCN and Need for Speed Underground 2 for DS. Oh well...it shouldn't take me too long to save up $60 (CAD) to buy it...it IS summer after all.

I'm not sure if I'll get it. I do like the fact that Capcom and Grasshopper are trying something that's never been done before... However, I'm not sure if I'll like the fact that Killer 7 is so far off the beaten path. I'll probably wait for a price drop before I buy it.

The game is strange and completely off the wall, yes, but you shouldn't let that stop you from getting it. It's actually pretty fun once you get over the learning curve. The bizzare story and sweet anime scenes are what keep me going.

Well, I finished it today and... wow. Just... wow. Go buy it. Now. It's simply brilliant.

Well, that depends on your outlook on it. The ending isn't something you can simply take at face value and digest. You really have to ponder over it. The game on the whole is a sort of political commentary with parallels to today's world, but of course there's more to it than that. (you can check out my review on NSider if you really want to know) The story will throw you for a loop with the twist at the end. Most of it makes sense, yes. It's bizzare, but you can still understand it as you play through the game. It leaves some unanswered questions, but for almost all of the game the plot is able to be followed. If you're worried about it not making any sense at the end, well, it just depends on how you take the ending. From a strictly in-game perspective I'll say yes, it makes sense. It's completely twisted, sure, but it comes together.

I haven't played it... yet. I will eventually! And for the record, Con Smith (the blind Smith) is my number three 2005 Best New Character. (Ashley from Wario Ware is number one, with Riviera's Ein in second) ;D

Pfft, Dan Smith > all.
Dan is the coolest character on the GCN. Period. Don't try arguing, because you can't. Dan pwns that hard.

Meh, say what you want, Absent Elements. The fact that Con kicks ass despite being unable to see (physically) and his charming personality (NO I'M NOT GAY, STOPITSTOPITSTOPIT!!) make him the best character in the game. Dan's a good choice, though. He's got that Demon Shell thing that makes mushroom clouds on the badguys. Second fave in the game. Hey, come to think of it, since Con is blind, he won't be able to see how cool he is while kicking major ass. PS, why not put Con and Dan in a SSBM deathmatch and settle it once and for all?

I didn't plan on getting it, but due to the GCN drought and the fact that I've heard positive things about it, I ordered it Friday. My town sucks...not a store had it for GameCube (only PS2) so I ordered online, it'll be here tomorrow.
Unfortunately that means a late review, but you win some, you lose some.
