Heh heh, now I've got something to tell ya'll.
There is a new Mario gamethat is rumoured to coming out. It is in the sequel of 'Super Mario World 64'.
It's called 'Super Mario 128'. If you'd like info on this game, go to the Flames' Forum. In the Mario Series section there will be more info.

Yeah, I've heard the rumors. Seems like Nintendo said a new Mario was coming, but I dont know that they specified it was 128 or not.

Yes, I believe I know what you are talking about. There was a Mario game that was rumored to be the very LAST Mario game ever made. I think that Mario 128 is what Nintendo was talking about. But, the very last Mario game they were talking abut, was to have no commercials because it was said to have the most amazing graphics. Nintendo wouldn't let it have commercials because they didn't want the other companies taking there ideas.
But...since so many people love Mario, I doubt that Nintendo will stop making Mario games. Don't think anything yet, they're still not for sure.

oh yeah, I think I read that Nintendo said something at E3 about a new Mario game, but it had some revolutionary innovative ideas that they didnt want other companies to steal, so they didnt show it off.

I never heard about "the last Mario game".... I have a hunch that part isn't true.
As for the E3 thing HeroOfTime07 mention, yeah I read that too. Apparently, Mario 128 will be reveled at E3 '04.
Just to throw some more Mario 128 rumors in: Some people say it's going to be a 2.5D game, like how Kirby 64 was (side-scroller with 3D graphics).

I haven't heard of that, but all I know is that the Mario 128 is supposed to have the best graphics anyone has ever seen.

I really doubt that this will be the last Mario game. Mario is Nintendo's chief mascot, why would they ditch the guy who made them big? Anyhow I hope they make this game more old school, you know with Mushrooms, fireflowers, and stars.

Well I don't really think that it would be the end of Mario, but...Mario Sunshine wasn't that impressive to a lot of people. Luigi's Manshion did WAY better. Mario hasn't had any good games yet for GameCube and that's probably why rumors were going on.
But, if Mario 128 is the sequel of Super Mario World 64, then people will buy it. If it makes good profit, they'll keep Mario.

The day Mario resigns Nintendo will call it quits. The big N has serveral million (more like billion) yen in the bank, so I wouldnt worry about that.

Well I know that they're not worried about money, but I'm saying if Mario 128 made even more money, then Nintendo will try to make other Mario games. That means that it won't be the end of Mario. Every company of every category makes stuff that people like for the MONEY.
