Satoru Iwata said:
"It will be able to use the games already created in the previous generation. And it is something that will work. Side performances and graphics, one reached today a kind of limit with a quality which is already close to realism and it will be difficult to still much better do. The role of Nintendo is thus to study other ways in order to improve the experience of the player."
My Comments: I think that this is great! He guarrented that we will be able to play games in the past! And that the Graphics will be close to real!

I want this thing! If it can play my past games too, that would be awesome. All the new stuff would look real, that's so cool. So, the new 'GameCube' is called N5? Are you sure it does all this stuff?
When would it be coming out?, at the end of 2004?

It could be possible that it would come out in 2004, but Nintendo is probably going to stick to their schedule. They usually have another game console out every 5 years. I'll be old by the time it comes out :oJ/K. But, I want it anyways. I don't mind it being called the N5, but I would rather it be called something else. GameCube sticks out as an Nintendi product, N5 sorta sounds like Microsoft's consoles. I rather it be called something that's simliar to Nintendo64 and GameCube. Maybe throw in a little SNES with it!

The IQue can play older games right? Well.. if the rumors about our version is true, it's gonna be similar to that, but improved. And another thing.. since the NDS is gonna be coming out later this year.. (from what they say), that would be considered as the 5th Nintendo "system", and the one that Satoru Iwata is talking about in this little "report" that was posted in this thread.. would have to be considered as Nintendo's 6th "system", since it's gonna be released AFTER the NDS.

No, this is home console only. If we included handhelds it would be N9? I believe, mabey N10?

There are no OFFICIAL pics of what it's gonna look like, only peoples imagination of what they think it's gonna look like, or what they want it to look like. It'd still be considered as the 5th "system" 'cause of that fact. EDIT: And also.. they're counting the TYPES of systems Nintendo has released, not the total altogether NES SNES Virtual Boy Game Boy NDS (a NEW type of system) N5 (6th)

Um the NDS is a true handheld. But it ISNT a true GameBoy
I realize they are counting types, and the type is home console.
