i own an xbox and am getting sick of it i need something new (also it started stuffing up) i like alot of the games on gamecube but i don't want to get it cause im afraid of it being to kiddy.
am i wrong to think it is???
wats better in your opinion xbox or gamecube??? ??

I hate it when someone says a system,even when they havn't even played it,is kiddie!Show me five games that are kiddy.I could write about 3 or more paragraphs on this,but I'll end here.Get a Gamecube.  |

GameCube is awesome and while some of the games are aimed at kids, many aren't. There are games for all ages like Zelda: Wind Waker, Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart: DD, Final Fantasy: CC, etc. If you want more mature games, there are a lot: The Resident Evil series, Eternal Darkness, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Metroid Prime, etc. Overall, I suggest that you do pick up a GCN. It's awesome and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Also, welcome to the RN Forums, masterchief! |

Yea! Enjoy! BUT: I hate it when people call GCN kiddy! Its NOT! RN is a Nintendo site, so ill let others convince you. Without Nintendo, you would not even have an Xbox right now. GCN has wonderful games (does Xbox or PS2 have Resient Evil 4 or Geist?) And, GCN's characters are the best. Sony has ratchet and clank, sly and stuff...what does Microsoft have? Master Chief? Nintendo is creative and wants to bring gaming to all of the world!

Nintendo does have kiddie games. But it also has non-kiddie games like Resident Evil.
The best thing about Nintendo is the classics. Some, like Mario, look kiddie. That's because a lot of us Nintendo fans played them when we were kids (back in the 80's and early 90's) and we like the classic look. And some kiddie games, like Pikmin, are actually fun for anybody.

Without Atari I'm sure there would be no Nintendo. Well there would, but they would still be making cards. Secondly, the only people who think the GCN is kiddy are actually kids themselves. |

Sure atari started the thing, BUT The gaming industy was fading, like......Digimon is now. So, Nintendo released some systems and games (NES, ect) and BAM! Everyone was hooked. So then on, games started to evolve. Then, sony came in, then microsoft. Whos next? Whirllpool? So i belive that companies should respect Nintendo. Nintendo is the god company of gaming. |

But, just like every other industry, it's all about the money. While Nintendo did restart the gaming industry, other companies probably won't give Nintendo any or sort of special respect. How many TV companies respect RCA for making the first TV? None. It’s a competitive world out there. |
