I've had one of those for a year and a half... Does it really matter if it's Nintendo brand accessories? The only Nintendo brand accessories I have are what came with my 'cube. 3 controls, 2 GBA - GCN cords, my 64 mb memory card, all off brand... I've never had problems with them... Just wait until something happens and you lose every bit of game data you've had.. or a controller breaks.. Do you even realise how many people have gotten unofficial mem. cards, and all the game data was lost within a few days? The reason I[/i] choose OFFICIAL products is because an AC Adapter, which was UNOFFICIAL basically destroyed my GBC a few yrs ago... The GBC's screen was basically blown off, and the same thing happened to my youngest stepbro's GBC.. except his GBC's screen just cracked.. and his GBC stopped working.. all because we used an unofficial product.

Let me rephrase that...
I buy off-brand, but the better off-brand. I only go for Nyko and Mad Cat. And the only reason I did that it either because I found them significantly cheaper. I got 2 Mad Cat controllers + 2 extension cords for them for about $30. They have yet to malfunction in a almost 2 years. My Nyco 64 mb memory card has not lost a single save file in a year and a half. My 4th controller I got free when I bought Wind Waker (plus the bonus disc, hehe). If that break, no loss...

Everything breaks after their warranty anyway...
Besides, the only video-games related thing I've had break on me was my (official) NES controller after soda got spilled on them...

It wouldn't have broken if you knew how to open up the controller and clean it, and make sure you didn't put too much water on it, and then let it air dry.

This was also when I was about 8...
We bought new controllers anyway...
(BTW: What does it matter the brand if you have to open it up and clean it yourself??)

I forgot to go ahead and quote this... For your info... my AC Adapter I got for my GBC WAS made by Mad Catz.. and so was my PS1 turbo controller which stopped working in like 1 month... I needed the turbo controller because of Final Fantasy 8, you have to press the square button pretty fast to build up your GF (Guardian Forces) strength.. and I can't do it myself 'cause of my carpal-tunnel-syndrome in my right thumb area... I started teaching myself how to clean and fix controllers when I was about 8-9yrs old... and I knew nothing about electronics... but everything worked.. so I obviously knew what I was doing... Why does it matter? Because of the fact if something is OFFICIAL, the longer it's life is if you take PROPER CARE OF IT. Unofficial companies are ONLY out there to make things cheaper, so you buy their crap, and not anyone elses... so they would hopefully get more money than the official companies. Mad Catz and other unofficial companies do NOT throughroly test their products, unlike the official companies. Just because something is cheaper, doesn't mean it's gonna work.. and it's certainly not gonna work as well as something that's official and been throughroly tested. The only reason official products are more expensive than the cheapy unofficials, is because of the fact that their products work 98% more than unofficials, and it gives the customers more assurance that there money isn't gonna be wasted.

Meh...
It's really a matter of preference...
I buy everything cheap...
Right now I'm wearing $10 shoes that lasted for about 4 months and need replacing...

When you buy cheap sh*t that doesn't last long.. you're actually spending more and wasting money. For example: Price || Length $30 shoes = 3yrs+ $10 shoes = 3-4 months... buy another $10 pair every 3-4 months for 3yrs... = $90 (4 months) $120 (3 months) See how much cheaper it is overall to buy the more expensive longer lasting stuff? If you don't realize this.. then you ain't money-smart.

Ah ha!
But my $30 shoes last for 6 months (I go through things fast)!
So 6 months for $30 is worse than 4 months for $10!
Plus they're velcro and I'm lazy!

And I know that. But sometimes it's a balance of the money you actually have. Yes, in the long run, it save to buy the better quality stuff, but if you don't have the money up front, you have to settle for the cheaper stuff...
Or if you like velcro...

Yes, in the long run, it save to buy the better quality stuff, but if you don't have the money up front, you have to settle for the cheaper stuff... Or if you like velcro... I have a pair of $60 slip-on womens shoes.. the reason they're so pricey is because it's a pain to find women's shoes in my size.. I wear 9 1/2's and 10's.. and sometimes 10 1/2's.. depends on what socks I wear.. and depends on my left foot.. I have a permanent bruised foot due to a horse stepping on it and it swells up sometimes.. anyways... I've had these shoes for about 4yrs now... I also have a pair of velcros.. but I can't wear them all of the time because again.. my foot. And if you don't have the money upfront.. learn to manage your money... and learn to save.. and figure out what you most need.. NOT want and use the money for that most needed item instead... yeah... games are nice.. and gaming supplies are too.. but good long lasting clothes and good long lasting shoes are better.. especially once you get the expensive ones.. you'd be amazed at how long they would last if you take care of them properly... My shoes are just slightly coming apart.. but it's nothing special shoe glue can't fix.
