Wow, i just picked up this game and it's awesome! i can't put it down, it's addictingly fun. You're free to do w/e you want as long as you follow a few guidelines in each chapter, and there are an endless amount of baddies to beat on. The controls and gameplay are very fluid and fun to use, from web slinging all over the city to running up buildings. The graphics aren't exactly the high point, being a little bland for the most part. Overall, the game is just great, i would recommend it to anyone. you may want to rent it though, as it can be somewhat repetitive and short.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of positive things about Spider-Man 2. The only thing holding me back from buying it is the fact that it's fairly repetitive at times.

Yes, it can be extremely repetitive. There is a set amount of mission types that aren't story related, and they number less than ten. @_@ It can get boring saving the same guy from falling off a buiding every ten minutes. xD I would definitely rent it though, seeing as it's a great experience and doesn't take long to beat.

Mwahaha, i got it for free. My one friend rented it at Hollywood Video and forgot to return it for too long, so he just gave it to me after buying it.  I plan on selling it soon to buy other games like Pikmin 2 and Paper Mario 2. |

I might by it in several months when the price goes down. But yeah, I've heard excellent things about being able to freely move around the city. That would probably be the reason I would get it.
