Today I have recieved the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Bonus Disk for registering 5 Pin numbers at Nintendo.com. So far, all I have played is the actual demo, which has the same features as the original Metroid Prime, except more. Certain areas and cut-scenes are sharper too.
You start off with The Power Beam, Light Beam, and Dark Beam for Blasters. You have the Space Jump Boots, Morph Ball w/Bombs, and Charge beam for all of the different Beam forms. There are the original missles too, that are used for Space Pirates that have already been seen, not a pleasant start...
Anyway, you work your way through, see a form appear that you recognize is yourself, but it walks away and you can't get to it. So, turn around and open the portal, then work your way to it. You are then in the Dark part of the world, which has an atmosphere that harms you unless you are in a protective dome like thing. You meet up with 2 spider like creatures that take a bit to kill, but once completed, you open up a portal, run and jump into it, then BAM! Mission Completed! End of the playable demo! Darn... oh well, there are other features to check out, such as the trailer, the information about the previous Metroid games, and some more, including the ability to play the original Metroid if you have Metroid Fusion. This feature was also available in the original Metroid Prime, except, with passwords as saves.

My disc is still in the mail, lol. It sounds like the demo is a little short... But, I'm sure it's fun. What's this about the original Metroid? It's on the bonus disc?

*retrieves the paper that came with it* Play the Original NES Metroid On Your Nintendo GameCube! If you own Metroid Prime for the Nintendo GameCube and have completed Metroid fusion for the Game Boy Advance you have access to the game that introduced the world to Samus Aran: the original Metroid. To access it, you'll need copies of both games, a Nintendo GameCube, a Game Boy Advance, and a Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance cable. Highlight the link at the bottom of the Metroid Prime title screen that reads "Metroid Fusion Connection Bonuses" and press the A Button. Okay, maybe I read it wrong @_@;. This is kind of old news, actually. This information is part of the folded out paper type thing that came with the disk. I read the Play The Original NES Metroid on your Nintendo GameCube and assumed you could do it with this, oops

It's sort of weird that Nintendo is advertising that two years after MP's release, lol.

I wanted it so badly at one point, but know I understand that its just a bonus disk.....plus Ive seen all the trailers already Oh and the demo is very short, about 10 mins long- 10 mins shorter than the E3 Build. If it had Multiplayer, I could get it, because Im starving for a good Multiplayer game

I wish Nintendo had one on the PC, but that wouldn't make much sense.

It was a rumor spreading around IGN and other places... I doubt it, but it could happen.
