SSBm - Event Matches!

(Well, I didn't see an arena-type board, so hopefully this is right.)

So, I was just playing around on Melee today, and I got a pretty interesting time on an event match. I was doing Event Match 51 with Jigglypuff. My final time was 00:34.35. I was wondering if anyone here had ever beaten that time.

I also almost got under 30 seconds, but on the last Mewtwo I had to kill, he kicked me straight up for over 5 seconds, and I ended up getting only 36 seconds.

I suck a Jigglypuff. My best is something over 1 minute. And, I think the Rest is cheap, so I never use Jigglypuff for event 51. I can beat it easily with my best character - Luigi. I recently became extremely good at Samus as well, so I might give it a shot.

Jigglypuff is so much fun. I KO'd giga Bowser with Jiggly in under 2 seconds. Pretty fun stuff. She's (or he's...not sure ) one of the easiest characters to get a triple KO with, if you ask me. At least, in that Event Match. Quite honestly though, I don't see how you could beat it that fast with any other character. It just seems like the Sleep Bomb is so extremely efficient when you want to get rid of someone right away.

Yeah, if you want to go for time, I gues you need to use Jigglypuff.
I tried it with Samus today and beat it in my first go.

I usually defeat Giga Bowser first, because once you get rid of Giga Bowser, there's so much room to move around. And also he's the weakest of the three.

Jigglypuff sucks. Right when your done singing the enemy wakes up.

Jigglypuff can fly. The best thing to do is fly as high as you can and then start singing. You'll be halfway or almost done singing when you reach the enemy.

I personally don't think Sing is a good move anyway. IMO Jigglypuff's only good thing is that it cover a lot of ground by flying.

Well, no one ever said Sing was a good move. I just said Jigglypuff in general. Bro_co is right about the floating down and using it, though that can be easily avoided, depending on the oponent. Sleep Bomb and her sideways B attack are much better moves, and rack up the damage fast.

I'm best at Luigi, most people already know that, but I still think Samus is the best character in the game. I mean, she has powerful long range attacks, powerful aerial attacks, decent smash attacks, good jumping, also decent throws, and plus she can use her grapple beam to grab onto edges. Now that's handy.

Samus is my 2nd best character.

People think I'm strange when I say this, but I'm best as Roy. I think Kirby is the best.

How can you use sleep bomb without using sing.

Roy's alright. I used to love Roy, but not anymore. Kirby.... I just can't like Kirby. I like him, but not in SSBM.

Oh and I also forgot to mention that Samus can wall jump as well.

Your right though, Luigi is good. He's my 2nd with Kirby then Link.

Kirby has the BEST jump, a good back throw, and really good B moves.

How can you use sleep bomb without using sing.

Roy is actually a fairly well-respected character. He's pretty powerful, and not too slow either.

Sleep Bomb is actually pretty easy to use without doing Sing. You just have to be close to the person is all. It's obviously harder to get that close and not take damage if the enemy is not asleep, but if you are good with the move, it becomes a very powerful attack.

I disagree. Although Kirby can jump five times, each of them is too small so it's pretty average. Mewtwo or Ness has the best jumps.
Kirby's B moves aren't that great also. Swallow is alright, but the Hammer is too slow considering it's half-decent power, Stone is also too slow, the Final Cutter is alright but it lacks the KOing capability.
And Kirby's a lightweight.
Kirby's throws are also not that good.
The only decent attack I can think of is his Aerial up, which is pretty strong, but it still lacks reach.
