I stopped in work early in the afternoon yesterday. To my surprise we got the new kiosk demo disk. First thing I noticed is when it loads up it starts on the DK:JB demo. All I can see is it was a blast. You get to choose from three different levels. Within each level is 2-3 different sections. It reminds me of the DKC series with a twist. Using the kongas is great. It goes to a pause cutscene for a split second whenever you have the chance to pound or punch and enemy to kill them.
The fur shading in DK:JB far exceeds that in SF:A. Jungle Beat is def. one of the best looking games this year.
Bannanas, Big Bosses, fur shading, DK whats not to love?

Sounds awesome, Kevin. I was going to try out DK Jungle Beat when I was at GameStop today, but the demo unit wasn't working... It's nice to hear that Jungle Beat is a lot of fun. I guess the gimmicky control system turned out to be great.

I have high hopes for this game. Donkey Kong Country was one of the few franchises that I grew up with, and I've loved the DK games ever since. This sounds like it'll go back to its roots, without the co-op portion of the game. But still, I'll get it when I get the chance.

I'll be at EB Game soon. I can't wait! (I wish they didn't have a demo stand, so that I could take it home... )

Jungle Beat is pretty good. If it had a few more levels then it would have been fantastic. I advise you, however, to get a tub of hand-cream nearby *looks at dried, cracked hands*

Trust me, it is that good. Hopefully it is. Donkey Kong was an early childhood video game for me; we had all three DKC games, and I loved them all. I need to pick them up for GBA sometime, especially DKC2 because that one was my favorite. And while this isn't a two-person style game like DKC, it's a side scroller and that's my selling point.

I really want to get this game. Will it be 50$ or 60$ w/ the DK bongos?
Did any of you see the recent show of GameSpot Live. Jeff Gerstmann really has loads of skill with the DK bongos. He uses his friggen thumbs!

Dunno where your shopping, but Donkey Konga is $50. Every store in Virginia pretty much sells it at $55. Which is why I'm skipping it for DKJB (I'll just get Donkey Konga 2).
