Yeah, you'd probably get a better value if you trade in a PS2 or Xbox...

For something that you buy for like $90 new, its not worth selling it, just keep it till they become like, nostalgic and retro- like the NES or SNES.

XD It's been played... barely... and it's not discolored and I have the original box and components and everything... down to the very plastic baggies... seen it go for like over $100 on ebay.

Which only leads me to believe that everybody bought into the idea that Gamecube was a worthless system.

It wasent, in fact it had a lot of potential, but no one used that potential to its greatest... That is true, all though it still wasn't as technologically advanced as the PS2 and Xbox. PS2 came out at $400 Xbox came out at $300 Gamecube came out at $200 am I correct or at least close enough?

Dude, saying that the Cube isn't as "advanced" as PS2 is like saying that a jetpack isn't as "advanced" as flapping your arms. Technologically, the Cube was superior in nearly every respect. Graphics, sound, etc. The only thing PS2 had better was that it used bigger discs that could hold more "game" than a Cube disc. The reason why the PS2 was so damned expensive was due to the fact that Sony thinks that people don't really want "games", per se, they just want "entertainment." So, they shoved useless DVD player crap up the PS2's ass just to make it more expensive. That's also their excuse with PSP and PS3, and the driving force behind their ridiculous price ranges.

Actually there is nothing wrong with he DVD drives, and Sony and Microsoft both needed them for the systems so they could put more data and such on a single disc, plus i am thankful for the DVD players in them, or otherwise I won't be watching my favorite movies and series in my bedroom, or even in the freaking family room. I don't mean that the Gamecube isn't advanced, but the Gamecube, the reason why the game slook and sound good is because developers were utilizing everything. The PS2 never really got tapped, same can't really be said for the Xbox. And the price point of the Gamecube was lower due to not using a DVD drive and built in hardrive and not totally inferior, but less powerful components inside the system.
