I remeber back in 4th grade when pokemon was soo popular. almost everyone was into it, pokemon was banned at most schools becasue it had destracted people. Kids got into fights because He stole my card, i stole his card. We used to trade in the bathrooms because it was banned, we trade cards and pokemon before class, on the playground and even during class. Kids with more money had more cards and more games, pokemon was an art and kids were always into drawing the pokemon..
plz tell ur memories from the fad

Pokemon is still very popular. Ruby and Sapphire were in the top five best selling games of 2003. So, while it isn't a fad anymore, it's still quite popular.
As for my memory, I remember when my local newspaper had a front page, main story on the Pokemon TCG being banned in the local public schools.

hmm, i remeber when my borther first got the game, actaully it was our first rpg game(probally the same for most). He was playing and I was looking through the instructions manual whne I saw the title- "Legendary Pokemon" Zubat happened to be one of the characters next to the title so later on, my brother saw one and we got so excited becasue it was a legendary pokemon. lol

Yeah, so do I. But, I think Chibi Link is referring to the mainstream Pokemon fad.

I'm an extreme Pokemon fan.
I have around $5,000 worth of Pokemon stuff like toys, cards (I have around 1,000 cards INCLUDING Promos), games, and other things like promotional items, like the Kyogre and Groudon holocoins that were given out by Nintendo for pre-ordering Ruby/Sapphire.
I have exactly 391 recolored and edited sprites that I have done (Zalamandros and the Rainbowed tail Ninetales are two examples in my avatar and sig), and there's more coming. Sometimes 20 a day or every few days. Some of my latest ones are Absol/Pokemon splices.
