Did anyone ever have the first game shark for the Game Boy. I did and i used it on pokemon blue, red, and yellow, and it caused the cartriges to crash and corrupt the info.

I don't like using cheat codes. I only use strategy guides, but either for colelctor's sake or I am just completely lost.

I only used it because it was cool to see what a tiny thing like that could do to it.

If you're gonna use cheat devices, I would recommend Action Replay. They don't end up screwing up a game like Game Sharks would. I have had my AR for GBA/SP for quite a while, and the case even broke. I would have to tape it up to keep it together, but the device still works and still hasn't screwed up any of my games. I can't use it anymore though. I don't have a GBA/SP anymore.. so I would have to settle for the DS/GBA model now, but I ain't gonna bother. I got other needs for my money right now.

I owned Silver, and finished it, but at the end... it was boring. The story pretty much went "ppthhbb" and the collecting craze wore off because the so-called plot was dragged on for far too long.

i stopped at silver and gold, but that pokemon is evil, kiddy crack! and the games have the same plot, over and over and over again, because the targeted audience is children, and they dont really care, or know how to care....

what is the point of pokemon it says "gotta catch them all" umm... NO!! you just want the strongest pokemon so you can kick someone else's ass with your all powerful pokemon Umm.. you obviously haven't bothered to realize.. that.. that old slogan is no longer used for the games. It was for the first generation (Green/Red/Blue/Yellow versions), but it died after that. Pokemon games are NOT about the plot or storyline. They are about catching your favorites, and using them to your advantage in battle. Trying to beat other people in competitive battling with your favorites, or trying a challenge and using different off-the-wall weak Pokemon. The whole story or "Gotta Catch 'em All" thing is no longer is use. They just have to use some sort of storyline to actually make it a game. Whether it sucks or not. I don't get the games for the story. I get them for the whole idea of being able to raise up cool creatures, and using them against others. Have you always wanted to own a real dragon, or another mythological creature that's your favorite, or some other creature? Well.. Pokemon is close enough for me to being able to own a dragon.

OK, so if that slogan "died" why the hell do people STILL use it?
