monthly online gaming tournaments done over teamspeek would be cool. but we need to find a free online game that everyone can easily download. can anyone else add to this idea.

Conflict of interest would hurt your idea. Not everyone likes the same games, plus time zones are a worry because of a close-knit 'community' RN forums are. But, nice idea.

I once was the host of SSBM tournaments here. But it sorta went down the drain due to the lack of preparation and things like that. But I might once again start one when SSBB comes out. And t'll be easier because there'll be Wi-Fi connection. The only problem that will bring up is the date/time issue because of different time zones... like Nara pointed out somewhere else... it's like 4am for him when it's peak time for US people.

Time zones don't have to be a problem. if the tournament was on a Saturday people could log in at different times. we base the time around the aria where most members live (thats USA i think). the Aussies of the forum could log in early, and i, the lone limey could log in fairly late.
The problem about different game tendency's is also easily solved we simply post a poll every week to ask people what type of game they want to play. Then when that is secure we simply discus in the thread what The actual game will be. if there is a draw the winner from the last months torn can have the ultimate decision.
(don't think i didn't think of the obvious)

I can't play. I have a ******* Mac. >< I can get WoW. I have like 3 months, and all I need is the disc to install and play though. Strange. Free games won't work, but WoW can. GunZ Online is an awesome free game. www.gunzonline.com/

Demos don't offer enough content and just take up space on a computer. Besides, empire earth is a strategy game. While I like strategy games, I prefer my online games to be at a quicker pace.
