I think that the revolution is gonna win the war! microsoft will pull a sega and go into the next genaration to early, and the playstation is risking to be taken off the market (with all the law suits and stuff). Sorry to sound like I'm flaming, but Sony and Microsoft are leading in today's industry, with Nintendo in third. As much as I love Nintendo, if anyone goes down the path of SEGA, it's going to be Nintendo. Just my thoughts.

Lol! Well, I had to say it. Sadly, our beloved Nintendo really need something strong to win back this next-gen.

I'm going to take this with a grain of salt. But, it's quite interesting.
E3 seems WAY too far away, lol.

*after reading article*
"Well, it looks like Broken Saints has gone and posted its much-anticipated theory on what makes the Nintendo Revolution revolutionary. At the core of the theory sits how Revolution will display games: through a form of real-time 3D projection. That's right folks, along the lines of a classic 50s monster movie. Nintendo itself has stated that what it plans to use on Revolution isn't all that unique, only that it has never been applied to videogames. Taking that into account, plus recent patents filed by Nintendo, and it doesn't sound all that far fetched, argues Burgess.
If that's not enough, he goes on. During the ShoWest film conference, a panel featuring George Lucus, Robert Zemekis, James Cameron, Robert Rodriguez, and a satellite feed from Peter Jackson discuss their plans to integrate cheap digital stereoscopic 3D into major theater chains by 2007. Here's where things get interesting: Burgess claims to know an agent who spoke to Robert Rodriguez, stating they knew of a game machine that would exploit this new wave of 3D entertainment well before Hollywood could jump in on the market."
@ *referring to bold*
If I recall, didn't Nintendo said that they will be planning to make movies in the next few years? Could 'this' connect to that?
Hmm... Oh, well. I may as well not consider this a fact too quickly. E3 is when i'll know the whole truth.

I'm patiently waiting. Everyone's rushing to gather information when we continue to let our current generation dust. There's plenty of good games (at least on PS2) to play guys. I agree with the Dreamcast rhetoric though. I don't think Microsoft is making a wise move in its Xbox 2 release schedule, not even 4 years after the Xbox launched.

Durn straight, and man, it is too bad Sega had to go down, they used to be waaaaay ahead of their time. ;; I mean, Dreamcast was THIS GEN (or close) 2-3 years after the N64 came out, plus it had some pretty decent games.. just horrible advertising.

I agree, Microsoft is releasing the Xbox 360 too early, I think this could end up like another Dreamcast.

I know that 50 posts isn't a lot but... For my 50th post i decided to do a little speculation on the next generation of videogaming consoles. Is the revolution that revolutionary? Might be... If rumors hold true, and that nintendo is doing 3d projection on the next console, then nintendo might just pull it off. But lets not forget the other consoles! I have a lot of doubt about the xbox 360, It might be the first one out off the gate, but it might not have all of the top notch features that the other 2 consoles might have. The fact that the Xbox 360 is going to use a DVD drive really kills it. The PS3 is probably going to use blu-ray (up to 50gb) and the revolution will probably use that too (up too 20gb minidisk). The DVD has a capacity of up to 9.4gb. that is a 40.6gb diffrence! That's a lot! I think that if the PS3 could also read UMD disks, It would really help it because probably half of the people that got a PSP will get a PS3, and would naturally want to play all of their PSP games on the PS3. Nintendo is offten critisized for "childlike" games, so not a lot of "mature" people would want to buy it. even though it might actually be better then the xbox 360 *cough* Dreamcast *cough*. I think that this generation might not be so "OMG!!! I WANT IT ALL" but it might show us the reaction to all of the companies (and hopefully be better then this one)

I agree with the Dreamcast rhetoric though. I don't think Microsoft is making a wise move in its Xbox 2 release schedule, not even 4 years after the Xbox launched. Patience is key at this point. Instead of trying to get as much information as possible (and most of it is probably false), I think people should just calm down and wait for official announcements. It's not like the current consoles are dead...
