I just wanted to ask this question because this game has taken over my life. I just can't stop playing the damn game. They took all the little things that irked me about Morrow Wind and fixed them, and the result is just amazing.
This is probably the most beautiful game I have ever seen. The graphics have a few flaws such as the occasional frame rate studders when riding your horse through heavy foliage, but when you take into account the size of the world you will completely forgive any of its minor problems. I often run around the world just to look at all the scenery, and the draw distance that seems to never end.
I have put 65 hours into this game, and I have done only a tiny part of the main quest. There is just so many things to do that you lose yourself in the experience.
For instance, I just finished up the "Dark Brotherhood" quest line, and it was a complete blast. I want to describe one of the coolest quests I was sent on while performing my assassination quests.
My character was told that a certain man in the city of Skingrad (city in the game) was having a party at his mansion for 6 special guests. Five of the guests were people that had wronged him at some time in his life. The 6th guest was of course me, and I was sent to eliminate all of them without them witnessing the killings.
Every one of them believed that they are in a contest to find a hidden chest of gold inside the mansion. They know that they are locked inside until someone finds the chest, because it also holds the key to leave the house.
Once inside I had to persuade them all to like me so that I could get them alone. So one by one I talked with them, and killed them off when no one was around. Then there were only 3 of us left, and the other two knew people were dying, but did not know the killer.
So one of the men that was left tells me that the other guy must be the killer (he trusts me remember?). So in a great ironic twist he kills the other guest for me. Needless to say it was very satisfying to cut him down as soon as he turned his back, and voila quest accomplished.
I realize this post is pretty damn long, but I just wanted to tell you guys a few cool things about the game so that you might give it a try. Get your hands on this game whether you have to play it on 360 or PC.
This game is definitely a contender for game of the year, as well as one of the my favorite games I have played in years. But who knows, maybe Zelda can top it.
