www.playmessiah.com/index.htmDon't get me wrong, I love my official NES but it doesn't work most of the time. I am definitely getting it this summer.

Yeah, that looks awesome. Saw it in a magazine. But I might just want to keep my old NES instead. It works most of the time, and I even own three games that work instantly (Kid Icarus, Super Mario Bros. 2, Castlevania II).

That was what I gave my bro (Justin) for X-MAS. It is a really cool little machine, and it comes with the coolest instruction manual ever.
It's a manual cut in the shape of a NES game. The manual also comes with a list of all the NES games so that you can check off which ones you have. Hell, it even tells you how rare games are by a number rating system.

I've heard mixed things about the NEX. Some people love it while others think it's horrible.

Actually I'm supposed to write a hands-on for it, but I've yet to do it because I'm working on something else, heh.

I bought somethign similar to it, and bought like $40 worth of games including River City, Kird Icarus, Final Fantasy, and Dragon Warrior... the machine was a piece of crap and stopped working after 1 save in FF I and a little bit of Icarus.
I was pissed. Then I heard about the NEX, asked about it. Everbody said that it was a piece of crap. I am not willing to buy it now, and I don't have the money for an old NES which is like $50+ shipping on ebay(no garage sales aroudn my place), let alone for a camcorder and a Revolution.

Crap, you have the first Fantasy?! Maybe you ought to check at a pawn shop. NESes go for less than 20 bucks. Or, check into a Gamecrazy if possible. They sell it for about the same price.

My father forced me to sell back all of those games. Anyways, there are NO pawn shops where I live. Even in the ghetto. Gamecrazy? Actually, I've never checked them out. *goes to check them out*

I think you'll like Gamecrazy. They're the only local shop I have that sells NES, Super Nintendo, and Genesis games anymore. Gamestop and EB used to, but not anymore. Kid Icarus, Castlevania II, Zelda II, Metal Gear... ^u^ They also have cheaper prices than at other stores. You could save three bucks if you bought Tales of Symphonia here than at, say, Gamestop (Figured it out the hard way, naturally). Just one word of warning: DON'T RESERVE GAMES THERE. When they run out of them, they don't give you your credit back. You could spend up to 50 bucks to reserve a game, but they won't give the credit back to you.

I checked out the site. Seems cool, I might register later, but I don't see anything about older games for NES, SNES, etc...

They have this whole counter filled with out-of-date vintage games. I don't see why that shouldn't be on their site.

What were the complaints? Honestly, I don't remember any of them off the top of my head. But I do remember reading a handful of negative forum posts about the NEX.

What were the complaints? Honestly, I don't remember any of them off the top of my head. But I do remember reading a handful of negative forum posts about the NEX. I heard things like how it feels cheap, the controllers are not very good, as in they feel mushy in a bad way. I've also heard that the sound and video quality isn't as good, and that it sometimes has trouble turning on.
