E3 is right around the corner and I'm just curious, what do you think Nintendo has in store for us? Taken from my blog, here are a few Revolution predictions I have: Kid Icarus Revolution will be announced and I will be extremely hyped. The Revolution is going to come out for $200 on November 18 with at least Smash Bros Rev and Red Steel being online at launch. Metroid Prime 3 will make launch too, but it’s really up in the air on whether or not there will be a multiplayer online mode, which Retro might not even be sure about at E3. I say don’t worry about it and focus on the single player if you don’t have some truly groundbreaking ideas. I think other Nintendo launch titles will be a Wario Ware title and maybe, just maybe a Mario title, but that might be a bit overkill. Unless, of course, Smash Bros was pushed back to a Christmas release. And why not give us another entry into the Wave Race series for launch? I’m always good for that. A headset for voice chat would be nice, too.
There’s so much more that’s going to be revealed on top of all that, too. What’s the second secret we all can’t wait for? I’m putting my money on the controller having a microphone, but I guess we will see. What about third party support? E3 should be very telling of how supportive they’re going to be.

My hopes: - Revolution to be $200 - Super Smash Bros. Revolution, Red Steel, and Super Mario Revolution to be launch titles - The Camelot Revolution RPG comes out of the shadows - Camelot RPG for NDS announced - more details on Final Fantasy III DS - online multiplayer rpg by SEGA for Revolution - first person hack 'n slash RPG for Revolution - FF V & FF VI American Release dates - some upcoming GBA RPGs - talk about the next Gameboy. successor to GBA. not liek SP or Micro.
(will think of some more wants later)

Kid Icarus would be great, but I am willing to bet it still won't happen.

Mine:
It'll be $200 Games will be within the $50-$60 range Extra controllers will be cheap (my brother read the Red Steel article in GI and he really wants to play it) Some SEGA game comes out and it's got multiplayer
And my hopes, within its first year after release: I can get one RPG I can get either a Sonic game or a Rayman I can go online with plenty of games (surely some will be online ready at launch!)

My E3 Predictions:
-Rev. launch price will be $200
-More VC announcements: SNK, Konami, Namco, Capcom, etc. announcing retro game support for VC
-More WFC games announced for DS(maybe around 20 or more than that)
- Original GameBoy library, Game Boy Color library, Atari Lynx library, Neo Geo Pocket Color library, Turbo Express game library, and Bandai Wonderswan titles to be downloable from Rev's VC service to play on your GBA/GBASP/GBM handhelds or DS/DSL on the go(you can save them on a blank GBA cartridge with lots of GB's, a HD, a USB HD, the rev's flash ram, or SD card) or play them on your TV.
-Rereleased GBA games(from 2001 launch to today along with future developed original GBA titles if GBA game developers are interested to continue to make original GBA games) to be downloaded from the VC service to play on your GBA/GBASP/GBM handhelds or DS/DSL on the go(you can save them on a blank GBA cartridge with lots of GB's, a HD, a USB HD, the rev's flash ram, or SD card) or play them on your TV.
-A Capcom Vs. Nintendo 2D title developed by Capcom in the arcades to add another chapter in the Vs. series(if this doesn't happen, I can get over it).
-A big wave of RPG's, fighting games, strategy games, puzzle games, and racing games announced for Rev.(many of them could be some of the 20 launch titles for the rev. launch while others are released next year)
-If Nintendo improves on their WFC service, more options for communicating with your friends to add along the friend code system option for future DS games. An Xbox live esque interface with it's own Nintendo flavor for the WFC service for rev.(no friend codes to use. That's strictly for DS). Also, if there's at least an unexpected suprise for WFC: Online/Wi-Fi Gaming to be expanded to Arcades (if Nintendo does take advantage of this). For example, you at home with your online gaming console equipped with an online fighting game can play against a random opponent who's playing in the arcades. Or an arcade player vs. random another arcade player in another region or continent.
-Wireless retro controllers for rev: NES, SNES, Sega Genesis controller(from SEGA), Neo-Geo controller(from SNK), etc. Can be used for playing your favoriter VC downloads along with playing VC games with the rev. controller, too. Also a traditional wireless 6-8 button arcade joystick for all 2D/3D fighters(for those who are uncomfortable with the new ways to play fighters on the rev. controller.).
Even though I want these to happen, most of these crazy predictions will probably never happen. ^_^

My predictions: - A launch date and price for Revolution will not be announced. Nintendo will say "Wait till this Fall for more info." They did this with DS in 2004.
- Nintendo will bring back a classic franchise. My guess is that it'll either be Kid Icarus, Punch Out, or Duck Hunt.
- Namco and Nintendo will bring Mario Kart Arcade GP to Revolution.
- Pikmin 3 will make a surprise appearance and feature an online co-op mode.
- WarioWare Revolution will be announced.
- A bunch of online games will be announced for DS.
- One or two more companies will join the Revolution's Virtual Console service.
- There will be a lot more third-party Revolution support than we're expecting.
- Nintendo will somehow reference Reggie's "kicking ass and taking names" line during the Pre-E3 press conference.

THINGS THAT SHOULD HAPPEN: *They'll announce a Reggie Fils-Aime action beat-em-up (Think River City Ransom) *Kid Icarus Revolution *New entries for Famicom Detective Club, Mach Rider, Balloon Fight, Startropics, Duck Hunt, and Ice Climber will be announced all across both the Revo and DS *Mario, Metroid, Red Steel, Wario Ware, Kid Icarus, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Sonic the Hedgehog, Spiderman, and Smash Bros. will be slated for launch *It will be announced for 200-250 bucks *Soul Calibur 3's rumored next-gen debut will be on the Revo, including Link and Pit as exclusive playable characters *With Nintendo's new campaign, they'll end up taking back the gaming world from Sony. Serves 'em right! *Aliens from another planet will try to take over the Nintendo booth, only to be foiled by the combined mega-might of Reggie Fils-Aime, Shigeru Miyamoto, and Satoru Iwata *A handful of brand-new game series will debut on both the DS and Revo

What will the slogan be now? They got Touching is Good, and it worked. Well, I mean these days the PSP is beating DS, but only by like 2,000 units; usually the PS2 to GCN numbers is a rather distant gap. All I know is, if they can pull a DS for the Revolution, this console will be doing fine. Especially if the 360s continue to be as available as they are now.

Touching is Good, but Hitting is Better. -- a nod to the Revolution's motion sensor, and Red Steel. What would be funny is if, in Smash Bros, you get mad at a player and throw the controller at your opponent, and the motion does something funny to you, like makes you jump of a ledge or kick a Bob-omb and kill you.

lol XD that would be funny, and then the controller gets screwed up, so you would always be pulling at a certain direction.

I want Miyamoto's new IP to be the alleged horror title he's been rumored to be working on since the days of Eternal Darkness.
Besides the obvious stuff (Rev pricing and such), I'd like to see a lot of third party Rev support in general. I think it's important to making the Rev more successful than the GCN. (which shouldn't be too hard)
Everything else is icing on the cake.

But it'd still be pretty cool! CAMMY: The PSP? Beating the DS? In what way? I've been reading these sales charts, and the DS is pounding Sony's handheld.

In the ones I've seen, the PSP is beating the DS, but by a rather small, formidable, amount. Either way the DS can beat what's given. That, and no PSP games are in the Top 20.

I predict that E3 would be good this year. I was kinda bored with E3 2005.
