I think I will. The FFXIII trailer looked absolutely awesome. I hope it won't be too expensive. I know it's meant to tbe the most expensive gaming console ever, but still, I hope it won't be too much.

Actually the 3DO was the most expensive system ever, and that was back then too.
I don't want the PS3, and as much as a Final Fantasy fan as I am, FF XIII... DENIED! Sorry $ony and Square, but you guys lose.

Well, Sony's been getting some pretty bad press as of late. Kutaragi has pretty much lost it. He's going off on anybody, raving on about how the PS3 is a computer, and not a video game machine. So, who's his audience? I certainly can't tell what he's getting at. But I guess nobody should worry, since he has predicted that he'll sell over 100 million PS3s over the next several years! Well, whatever. I'll buy one after Sony's inevitable collapse at the hand of Kutaragi's insanity, when the price should plummet in a desperate attempt to pick up sales. I like the PlayStation, but I just don't like Sony or their usual approach to games.

Micro$oft is the predictable one that doesn't know how to take risks. Afterall, the Xbox 360 is about as cautious of a system as you could ever get with a pretty generic variety of games (shooters, racers, sports). That's not to say that I don't think the 360 is a decent system...I think Hitman is a great game, but it's also on current-gen systems. Condemned is another next-gen offering and even though it's repetitive as hell, it still shows off some pretty graphics.
Sony is right when they say the next-generation doesn't start until PS3. So far, whether you like the 360 or not, you can't deny that it hasn't been a very big leap forward. Then I look at games for the PS3 like Metal Gear Solid 4 (though all we've seen so far are videos), Resistance, Fatal Inertia, Fight Night Round 3, Assassin's Creed, Vision Gran Turismo, The Getaway, DIRT: Colin McRae Off-Road, Army of Two and all of a sudden the next-generation of games come into view. I'm not a fan of high pricing, either $400 for the 360 or $600 for PS3, but it's safe to say you'll get your money's worth, especially if you wait for a price drop. I'll buy a PS3...whether if it's at launch or not is undetermined at the moment.

Umm, you DO realize that many of those games you mentioned are already available on the X360, right? I seriously don't see what's so risky about putting out more of the same. They're doing practically the same thing as Microsoft. As far as I'm concerned, the next generation of video games does not begin until the Nintendo Wii is released. End of story.

I say the same for the Neo-Geo AES.

I'll buy a PS3...whether if it's at launch or not is undetermined at the moment. MGS 4 might possibly come to Xbox360. Resistence doesn't seem more than a normal shooter. Say, Half-Life 2, which is also comin for Xbxo360. FNR3 is already on the Xbox360. Asassin's Creed has been announce for Xbox360 likea week or two ago i believe. Gran Turismo isn't as good as PGR or Forza. The Getaway... umm... the first 2 sucked. Army of Two is comign for the Xbox360 as well. The Xbox360, while its an Xbox on drugs, it's not a pos system. Has great games, and I see alot of potential. More games for the Xbxo360 that I want than on the PS3. And while the PS3 might be worth the price it is, it is useless if there aren't any good games. Much like the PSP.

The problem I'm having is that if Wii's release date is close to the PS3, then I'll definitely buy the Wii, but I really want a PS3 as well. I hope they don't release it too close to each other. I know PS3 is November or something, dunno about Wii.

The Wii is sometime around October and November. At the most if there are any delays, December.

EDIT: Hold on, is it worldwide in October/November/December or just in the US/Japan?

Should be worldwide. But I mean you could probably import it from either Japan or the United States, or Europe.

Nah, screw it. If it's coming out here, then that's that. I'm getting it when it comes out here. And I'm pretty sure it'll come out by the end of this year here as well, because I'vve seen the "Nintendo Wii/PS3 coming soon, pre-order one now" sort of signs at game shops.
