Don't have the money. What is worth the risk of getting a buggy money eater?

i dont understand why you all are freaked out over the ps3, it has no compition to the wii or 360, mostly because most of the ps3 games are going to be on the 360 anyways, and the wii has new, creative games that I personally havent seen before, plus, its cheaper then the ps3 or 360! The playstation was never about the system anyways, because the systems always sucked ass! its the games that had everyone amazed.
and btw, gray, the 3DO wasent the most expencive console out there, the PSX was ($700-900), fyi.

i dont remember, but even though it was a ps2 with a tivo inside it, it still qualifies as the most expensive.

I only want the PS3 because I don't have a PS2 and Square makes most of their games on them, so that's why. The FFXIII teaser was enough to convince me.

You'd probably be better off just buying a PS2 then. For the PS3 you need a special adapter to be able to use Ps2 memory cards, on top of that, doesn't it only work for the $600 version, and the $600 version has WiFi while the $500 doesn't... woah, going off-topic in a strange and unique way new to this body... ive been up too much... Chaos Out

Radiata Stories, Final Fantasy X, Sly Cooper, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, the list goes on. Why on earth Sony wouldn't allow backwards compatability on their 500 dollar system is... questionable, to say the least. On another note, please bear in mind that you are dead-set on getting a 600-dollar system for just one game. Just one. With a price tag that massive, I think I'd wait for a price drop and some excellent games to be released (At least 10); that is, before I would get one. Sure, Final Fantasy XIII LOOKS great, but will it PLAY great? It isn't as if Square Enix is incapable of releasing a bad game (This statement made possible by Final Fantasy X-2). So I think I'll wait until AFTER the PS3 is released before I do anything.

Well, we might have to wait for FFXII to release... even if it's being developed by the FFTactics team and not the current console FF team.
But FFXIII is being developed by the X team, so if you like FFX it shouldn't be too much of a stinker.

He doe shave a point, and you might as well wait til the 2nd wave of consoles to hit the market as well, because as bad as the Xbox360 has issues, the PS3 will be worse, considering the PS3 is more of a power house. And yay, Cammy is here. ^_^
