That doesn't mean you ought to be forced to miss out on some great PS2 games, by Sony no less (Punishing the poor as always). Radiata Stories, Final Fantasy X, Sly Cooper, Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, the list goes on. Why on earth Sony wouldn't allow backwards compatability on their 500 dollar system is... questionable, to say the least.
On another note, please bear in mind that you are dead-set on getting a 600-dollar system for just one game. Just one. With a price tag that massive, I think I'd wait for a price drop and some excellent games to be released (At least 10); that is, before I would get one.
Sure, Final Fantasy XIII LOOKS great, but will it PLAY great? It isn't as if Square Enix is incapable of releasing a bad game (This statement made possible by Final Fantasy X-2). So I think I'll wait until AFTER the PS3 is released before I do anything.
Yeah well, like I said, I'll be getting a Wii instead of the PS3.
And by the way I thought X-2 was great. One time when I was over at a friend's place, we rented it and played it on his PS2.
Yeah, and I was also thinking today about whether I should get a PS2, and I might, tere are about 5 titles I definitely want to buy for it. All of them by Square (FFX, FFX-2, KH, KH2, FFXII, DoS:FFVII), coincidentally. Oh well, One thing's for sure. I'll be buying a Wii when it comes out.
