I've been playing a lot of N64 lately and it still rocks! Anyone here still playing the N64? I will be buying some of the games off of the VC on the Wii, but until that happens..the N64 is for me.

Not really. I would play it more, but the controllers are all broken to the point it's almost impossible to play anything...(Darn you Mario Party! Darn you!) It's really a shame too, it has so many great games... Never did like those controllers...

I still have my N64. Even though it's pretty banged up, it still plays like it did when I first got it. So basically, the only games I'll be downloading off the VC is Super Nintendo games. And of course, Starfox 64 is the best darned N64 game you'll ever play. It's what gave me the "power thumbs", appendages that can move as fast as the speed of sound.

Even though I don't currently play my 64, I keep it because of a couple games. I have Perfect Dark and Goldeneye which won't be appearing on the VC due to issues with Rare, and I have Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Calibur which I believe is one of the N64's best games. The rest I plan to dload on the virtual console (Mario Kart, Mario 64, Starfox, some of the good wrestling games, etc.)

I miss my N64 and my SSB. I sold my N64 to someone about 7 years ago.

I miss my N64 and my SSB. I sold my N64 to someone about 7 years ago. The one thing about the SSB games is that, they just keep adding stuff instead of really mixing up the gameplay. Case in point: Starfox 64 was a revamped, but not revolutionary, sequel to Starfox on SNES. Therefore, I began to devalue Starfox because everything in the second game was gouged from it, then put into greater detail. It's the same problem with SSB. With Mario and Zelda, though, they are able to set each game apart from the one before it while holding true to the roots and basic ideas of their respective series. That's called "innovation of established franchises", and it is something the industry coud use a little bit more of. But yeah. N64. Awesome. If you don't have one anymore, make sure to download some of your favorites off of the VC.

After you get a Wii, be sure to at least give the following games at least a look-see: Starfox 64 Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards Super Mario 64 Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Mario Kart 64 Mario Tennis Super Smash Bros. (And if third-party titles make it in, be sure to look out for these): Resident Evil 2 Mega Man 64 Goemon's Great Adventure Bomberman Hero

you never owned an N64!!! my god!!! Actually, it isn't very surprising. I mean, you know how the SNES didn't sell as well as the NES, the N64 didn't sell as well as SNES. You could say, it's more like faded genes. So yeah, some people just didn't buy into the N64, no matter how hard Mario and friends tried.

I never had an N64 because in 1996, after my Sega Master System died earlier that year, I bought a SNES. I had my SNES til 2002. I loved that bugger to death. More than the PS2 that my mother got in 2001. More than the Xbox and Xbox games I got from selling my SNES and games. That's pretty much why I missed the N64.
