Well, there's no question that Nintendo has grossed the biggest profits several times. Super Mario Bros. 3 raked in over 3 million copies sold. Multiply that by about 30 bucks per copy (If that's what they were sold for at the time). I think that's how it went, not all that sure. But yeah, so long as Nintendo innovates with its older franchises, doesn't forget the underdog franchises, and makes FUN spinoffs of its franchises, it's all good. $30 for a game back then? Unheard of. It was probably $50-$80 for SMB3. Not to mention the remake for the SNES and GBA.

I used to live in Wisconsin. A supermarket used to sell games there, and I saw Mario 3 for 30 bucks.
