I must say Beethoven's Symphony No.9 4th mvt (Ode to Joy... everyone knows this one... you know, you sing at Christmas and stuff), well this piece just fits with any kind of game. Sometimes a perfect match, sometimes a perfect irony.

It'd be plain creepy in some parts, too.

Image Super Mario with DDR music! As my friend Bex would say, "seizure inducing."

OK now image a strange 50 year old dude pushing a street cone while his 5 year old grandchild is crying in the mud, which than later he is a secret character in SSBB while in the background the song to I think I can by the Pillows is being sung by a rapping midget from Germany.

Well a game like Lumines and Rex needed the music. That's what it's based off of. Maybe not the best music, but it does get you hooked.

I don't make it a goal to make sure the music in games is good, and whether or not that reflects my getting it or not.
Good music is a plus, not so great music is a minus. It's nice to have good music playing, but even if it kind of does suck, if the game is awesome it shouldn't really matter. Just turn it down and stick in a CD.

Obviously, a good game with good music is a great game. (Thinks of FF series)

Sometimes when we are playing games we sometimes forget about the music being played.
