Yeah, I'm about 15 hours in now. The Collector's Edition case is pretty much the best game case I have ever seen. It was worth the extra $10 for that case alone. I'm not going to watch the bonus DVD until I beat the game for sake of possible spoilers. It's very, very cool. The game itself is fun, but I'm getting my face owned right now. I have a problem making a decent amount of money, I usually just get raped by monsters since all of my money goes towards healing items and I don't get to buy any shiny equipment. I've got the collector's edition too, and I can say that I fully agree with you. This collector's edition case is definitely worth it. Strangely though, no matter what RPG I'm playing, money is never a problem for me. At least, for most cases. The only RPG that made me try my hardest to earn some decent money was Final Fantasy X (Yojimbo has powerful attacks, but only for a price).

I went for the regular case at CC for 37.99, but if I wasn't planning on buying so many games this month (and the Wii) I definately would have picked the CE up. That case is heavenly.

I would have bought the collector's edition, but nobody has it in stock on this crappy little island.

I'm about 8 hours into the game now. After starting it over and playing all day yesterday. Haha. It rocks. It keeps getting better and better and better. I think that this is the 2nd best Final Fantasy game of all time, with VI being 1st. Sorry, but VII is a bit overrated, because a lot of people seem to have skipped VI.

KoE probably has the money, it's just the release date he doesn't know, which I found out. Now I'm not so sure that this is the most reliable, but it doesn't seem far fetched. PAL copies of FF XII should be coming out early next year. Now I'm not sure if the month is correct, but February should be it. Man, that's a long wait... and I thought North American NTSC gamers had it bad having to wait 7-8 (forgot exact date it came out in Japan) months after Japan's release. Man, you guys have an 11 month wait... well... you have about 4 months left give or take.

Not to mention the two or three years after its announcement was when it was finally released. And just as EGM predicted, we saw screenshots of Final Fantasy XIII long before XII was even released. EDIT: Scott Ramsoomair pisses me off from time to time, but he's usually the first to make me laugh on a crappy day. And this is why: www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=215

FF XIII doesn't look like it will be my cup of tea. Battle system looks more like an action RPG, and the sci-fi... er... so much for final FANTASY

Hell, the "airship" you get near the end of the game is actually a spaceship called the Ragnarok. Let's also not forget that we know next to nothing about XIII. I say, wait for new details. It's a Final Fantasy game, and it's rare for them to have bad games, so my hopes are as unrealistically high as ever.

But it still maintained a highly... er... fantasy environment for the rest of the game basically. Sut had some futuristic technology, but it's not what defines sci-fi. But that one video, if thats how the game is, then no way... not my cup of tea. not to mention im not getting a PS3.

Well, I bought KH2 today which should last me about 2 to 3 weeks, and then after that I'm gonna replay FFVII, then hopefully by then some Nintendo game that will interest me should be out. If not, then i'm scrwed. Hey, I'm wondering if FFXII has the original FF theme... the preview thingy of Revenant Wings had it, so I wanna know if XII does. I love that theme. Hope someone knows what i'm talking about....

If you're going to replay VII, may I suggest you get Final Fantasy VIII and play that instead? It's 20 bucks. Not to mention, it's WAY better than FFVII (Not that VII was terrible or anything, but VIII blows it away on every conceivable level). However, it could be harder to find...

I already HAVE FFVIII and beaten it. I've beaten VII, VIII, IX, X and X-2 (oh and also I,II and IV. I'll get III when it comes out, so just need to work out where to get V and VI) and out of those I like FFVII the best. So yeah. I've replayed VII about 4 times. For me the ONLY bad thing about FFVII was the graphics. The rest is perfect. For me. I hated the FFVIII Battle system, but loved the story. Without giving much away (in case someone hasn't beaten it), it has one of the happiest endings ever IMO. And yeah, i mean THE FF theme, not the victory theme. Is there?
