Give me one reason to believe that Cait Sith and Seifer are lame characters, Mephisto. As I've said, Sith is underrated. He had just cause for wanting to betray the other characters, and his slot machine ability pulled my ass out of the fire a few times, making him rather valuable as a game character and from a story standpoint.
Seifer killed Odin with just one swing of his sword. THAT is how badass a villain he is.
BTW, "Aeris" is actually "Aerith." Sony decided to re-spell her name in VII (It wasn't Square's fault), but then Square Enix spelled her name the correct way in the Kingdom Hearts games. Just thought I'd clear that up.

EDIT: Yeah, I forgot the rule: no spinoffs. That means we can't use FFX-2 or Mystic Quest or anything other than the main, numbered entries of the series. Oh well, they ARE apart of the FF universe (In most cases, unfortunately), so I really couldn't care.

Aerith's name wasn't because of $ony, but because it is a commonly mistranslation. L's and R's are mistranslated all the time.

Seifer... I didn't care for him much. Cait Sith... I just want to hug it... so yeah... it needed to die.

I don't decide who's cool and who isn't depending on their strength. But Cait Sith was never a reliable character for me anyways, because Cloud and everyone else was just always one step ahead of him. And you can't say his Slots are that reliable anyways. I hate leaving my battle up to chance. It's not my way. For any game, pure power is the most important thing for me. That's why. Heck, out of the 3 or 4 times I've replayed that game about twice I've never ever used him unless it was compulsory to do so.

And Seifer... he's badass alright, but I hated him either way. "I'm gonna be the sorceress's knight"... Yeah whatever...
Just didn't like the look of him.

Hey, I'm not saying that Cait Sith was my numuro uno chraacter of choice from VII. He was reliable in battle for me.
Seifer was hypnotized by the Sorceress. Remember?
