A game that was forgotten, but is getting back up

Has anyone ever heard of a game (in developement) called S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl? I have been waiting for this game to come out for a long time for the PC. It is a very interesting game, and is made by people who actually lived around the Chernobyl area. This game looks soooo awesome, but rumors on the internet churned out that the game was scrapped because of financial problems. But the game is back on track, and is attemping a release in January of '07.

I remember when press release information was first released. I was mildly interested in it, but now, not so much. Considering I don't have a PC.

yeah, they were turning heads at E3 when they first talked about it in '04, but they lost peoples attention when they continued to tell people that they would release it "when its done".
