and PJ is being Biased. If you listened to the news, you would have known that the Wii does have some issues with the networking software, and about 5% of current wii owners report malfunctioning/incomplete software.

your focusing on the extreme, as in non-functional units, the ps3 has about 10%, while the Wii has about 5%. All consoles have issues at initial release, like the Wii's networking software, and the ps3's blu-ray audio output issues, and these issues will probably be fixed (at least the ps3's issues) by christmas, via firmware updates.

The Wii can be fixed with just updated software, but the PS3, with 50% of the blue-ray issues, those require hardware replacement, no? Software can't fix a broken disc drive.

nope, they are software issues, where the audio isnt decoding the disk right, something with the PS3 Firmware 1.0. Both are to be fixed sometime soon

Both are to be fixed sometime soon Dude, the PS3 has Ble-Ray issues, and Blu-Ray is a piece of hardware. Therefore, it IS a hardware issue, and updated software can't cure a hardware defect.

I agree with Agent Smith, it's a software issue. A piece of coding is looping causing errors.
All the hardware is fine.
