Hoo-rah.
I also heard that Devil May Cry 4 is going to be on Xbox 360 and PC. (Good news for me because I'm going to get a 360 sometime after a price drop.) It seems that Sony just can't keep all its horses in the barn, know what I mean?

Either way, I think SZqure should come back fully to Nintendo, since they'vestarted with them, and the Wii's populartiy is growing every day. |

A lot of developers are leaving Sony and slowing down on their support.
I guess Sony has had this coming for a long time now.

I just can't understand why Sony didn't bother putting a complete backward compatibility for the PS3. Is there any reason why you shouldn't???

You mean like, where it can play both PSone games and PS2 games? Or is there something I missed, like it isn't able to play ALL PS2 games or something? I DID read that it has a "Virtual Console" ripoff where you can buy old PSone games. Which is a ripoff all its own, not because Sony took it from Nintendo, but because the PS3 should ALREADY be able to read PSone games. After all, PSone games were put on discs. The PS3 reads discs. The reason why Nintendo set up a virtual console system was due to the fact that all the systems it was going to be backwards compatible with were cartridge games, not discs. So really, there's no other explaination here than that Sony just wants to milk more money off of you. |

they onloy have a limited number of PS1/2 games that can be played on the PS3, and most of them won't play in the best quality or something like that. They have a list of games that can be played on their official PS3 website.

Or is there something I missed, like it isn't able to play ALL PS2 games or something? I think they announced some time before that only games that meet certain system requirements can play on PS3. Basically what this means is, if you're an FF fan and follow the other major franchises like MGS or Devil May Cry, then you'll probably be able to play those. But if you instead go the route of Nippon Ichi for your RPGs and stuff like that, you'll probably want to keep your PS2 or something along the lines. Get my drift? |
