My friends all like it, and ADV advertises it a lot so I only thought I'd watch. Turned out to be the funniest thing I've ever seen. If you want to say something because of the randomness, that's the POINT. It's SUPPOSED to be blatantly stupid, that's why it's good! I like serious stuff too. Evangelion takes a lot of that, and Angelic Layer is basically the Toonami stuff except nobody's too into the game and they know they're just toys. ¬¬ There's always Elfen Lied.. story line please. (and btw its in a playlist called 'EmoEmoEmo') Disregard the uploader, Excel Saga really isn't depressing, whether it's supposed to be or it's just that bad. Etc etc. Anyway, it's about a girl, her name's never revealed (She refers to herself as Excel Excel, or Excel for short) who dies at the start of the show, but due to a time paradox/portal thingy she's brought back to life and gets a job at ACROSS, a mini-empire bent on conquering the world one town at a time (Here it's F-City, F-Prefecture, a gag about Fukuoka, a real city in Japan), however, the only problem is that ACROSS is fairly new, so Excel and its leader (Lord Ilpalazzo) are the only ones who are doing much. Later on, ACROSS is joined by an alien princess, the purple haired girl, named Hyatt. But because she's an alien, and oxygen wasn't her original gas needed to live, she has a problem with dying in every episode. Then there's Menchi, a dog Excel found one day. Unfortunately for poor Menchi, all she serves for is an 'emergency meal' and she constantly tries to escape Excel. Then come along all the minor characters, mainly the Daitenzin and the Puchuus (the main villains, and the cute little alien characters that get a really angry face if you hit them), and mix them all together for a total episode count of 26, and you have Excel Saga. Generally the show's formula is this; Rikdo Koshi (Excel's creator) appears in animated form, to say that he endorsed the idea that Excel Saga should be x genre of anime, which in turn parodies the genre in question (horror, romantic comedy, musical, and more), with Excel out to try and accomplish a mission, which she never does because of her inherent stupidity, and staples are basically -Excel failing -Hyatt dying -Menchi trying to get away from Excel -Nabeshin appearing -Pedro's life getting pwned ..which amounts to much lulz. The show isn't for the faint of heart, it was designed for Japanese late night broadcasts in mind, but that shouldn't stop people with the ability to stomach a little blood, at least for the first 25 episodes (26 was made intentionally more graphic and violent, I couldn't bring myself to watch the last ten minutes of it) anyway.

i was trying to mock it without putting all the aggression onto me. but it failed. Well... All right... I understand if you're not into the whole concept of a main character being a mass murderer... But wouldn't Ryuk be, like, the awesomest avatar ever? Isn't he a beaut?!

Is Death Note the one about the guy who can kill people through writing?
Or.. is it available through Shonen Jump? I may have heard about it before, it certainly SOUNDS cool.
