No story..I only got to play it for about twenty minutes or so, but I really like it so far. I tried to get an online game going, but it took too longer and I went ahead and played the computer..graphics are awesome. I know that you only played for a little bit, but would you say that the lack of a story mode isn't a big deal? Well the game is really just prettier battles with the lack of a storyline. I would only suggest this game if you love the Pokemon series and really want to own it on the Wii. The game is only battles and the DS can be used as a controller.

They made some serious progress with the GameCube Pokemon games' story modes, and now they're backtracking to Stadium-style battle-only games. The Wii/DS connectivity does interest me, but I'm not sure if it's worth buying the game for it.

I just can't understand WHY nintendo decided to leave the story mode out. I just can't see ANY logic to it whatsoever.

Because all the story modes were god-awful.

True, the story modes weren't all that great, but they're better than nothing. I'm guessing Nintendo left out the story mode in Battle Revolution because the developers were rushing to get it out around launch (in Japan).

Because all the story modes were god-awful. In which case there's room for improvement, right? It doesn't mean that they should just quit it altogether.

I would prefer them to uber up the battle system.

I'd prefer them to "uber" up the battle system, AND add a story mode.

You know how long it takes to make a story mode?

Does the story mode contribute THAT much? i mean ussually fighting games dont even have a story mode super smash has no "story mode" - no plot tekken has no "story mode" but people still play it
what does the motion sensor contribute to this game?

You know how long it takes to make a story mode? Well, I'd rather see them take more time and complete a story mode than to just finish the battle mode and release it earlier. Like I said before, You can do online battles with the DS games, so there's not much point having a game that does the same thing, just with better graphics. I don't care what you guys say about the sotry mode. I'll keep whinging about it.
