Come on. They've already had Marvel vs. DC, and everybody knew who was going to win that. (Marvel won.) So, I want to see a climactic clash between the greatest comic publishers in the world: one stationed here in the States, the other in Japan.
Marvel vs. Capcom was a good start, I think, but this will be better. Think Jump Superstars, plus Marvel Characters. That'd be the greatest fighting game/comic book crossover EVER. Spiderman vs. Naruto. Black Cat vs. Train Heartnet (From Black Cat, the manga). Wolverine vs. JoJo (JoJo's Bizarre Adventures). Dr. Strange vs. Yu-Gi-Oh. Captain America vs. Goku. Carnage vs. Hajime Saito (Rurouni Kenshin). Ghost Rider vs. Allen Walker (D.Grey-Man). Cyclops vs. Yusuke Urameshi (Yu Yu Hakusho). The list is endless, true believers!

If you replace "Jump Comics" with Viz, then I would pick Jump Comics FTW.
There are more Jump comics than just Shonen. There is the girl one, adult one, young adult one, etc... I think they have the same publisher. Viz is only the American importing company, they don't own Jump Comics in Japan.

They don't all have the same publisher just like how the States don't have the same publisher. In addition to Marvel, we have Udon, DC, Devil's Due, IMAGE, Archie, Bus Stop, and DarkHorse. Shonen Jump is a magazine filled exclusively for comics tailored for teenage boys, plus they have content filter (Like keeping excessive gore and homosexual characters down to a bare minimum, for example). So they're more like Marvel, who is also a giant megapublisher of comic books and more "Rated E" than its market competition. That makes them both trusted name brands in their respective fields of comics. Anyway, I think it's kind of obvious where all the votes are going to go, so I'll vote Marvel to give them a fighting chance. |
