Ok, well I was just playing Tales of Symphonia, and I was at the part where Collete gets kidnapped by Rodyle, and anyway when Sheena sends out Corrine he trips Presea like he should and then, boom, the game freezes. I thought it was the game so I got a new one thanks to my warranty, but then it just froze, again! So it's obviously my Gamecube. What do you guys recommend I do? I was considering cleaning the insides since it's pretty dusty, but I'm worried about damaging it. Also would you recommend me just getting a new one, since I found a used one at EB Games that came with Metroid Prime for unreasonably cheap $50.

Hm. A Gamecube freezing? TERRORISTS!! LOL, sorry. (LOL? LOL? You mean, "Larry's Over Limit?") Anyhoo, your Cube must have faced some serious injury in the past (Whether by you or when it was being shipped), and the pain is coming back to haunt it. My current Cube is working okey-fine, but my black and purple Cubes (I've got one of each color ;D) were unfortunately victims of the Al-Quida siblings (Namely my two younger brothers and 3-year-old sis). Milk was spilled into my purple Gamecube, and it won't be able another game... Ever. My black one was tossed around as if it were a toy (Nothin' I could do, I was away at work), but my dad fixed it up using some import tools (After I bought my platinum version), so I gave it to my three teenage sisters. I know the Cube is supposed to be super-durable (One tester dropped it off a rooftop about 10 or 11 feet, and it still refused to malfunction), but with my family, that's all moot. I might as well get three or four Revolutions, if that's the case. Anyway, good luck beating Tales of Symphonia, Nintendo Nerd! Not that it's absolutely difficult. Then again, the secret boss Abbyssion is the HARDEST boss I've ever fought...

Anyway I went to the troubleshooting page. Didn't help much. Got rid of all the dust inside the 'Cube with a vacuum cleaner. Didn't work. My friend recommended using a wet que tip and gently tapping the lens, and if that doesn't work. I'll be screwed.

No, but if I can fix it myself I would prefer that, because my GC's warranty expired a long time ago, and I would prefer things cheap right now, because my family is all complaining about how short we are on money. Also if using que tip to clean up the lens doesn't work, then I think I would just buy another GC. Since Tales of Symphonia is the only game that seems to be doing this, then I could give this defective GC to my mom so she can play Medal of Honor and Mario Golf ( ) and give the new one to me.

Hmm... You might still want to call Nintendo. Sometimes they fix stuff for free, even if the warranty expired. I can't guarantee that they'll fix your 'Cube for free, but it's worth looking into.

My first GameCube froze also, but it also displayed a message about it not being able to read the disk.

Wow I forgot to post here. Okay well here's the deal:
Took it to EB Games we tried different Gamecubes, memory cards, controllers, and discs, but it still didn't work. We came to the conclusion its the saved file. Is that even possible?
