******************************* JSR, Feel Free To Move This, Because This Is Not Directly Attentioned To GCN, but All Of Nintendo ******************************* Here Is The Official Aricle From Ningc.com:
Nintendo being sued for seizure attacks According to the family that's suing Nintendo, they failed to warn about seizure attacks in their games... The family of St. Martinville Mayor Eric Martin and his son claim that the games Nintendo make contain defects that cause injury. Richard Flamm, the company's general counsel testified some things Nintendo has done over the years to warn about epilepsy attacks.
Video games don't cause epilepsy or seizures. They are caused by a pre-existing neurological condition.
He also said that Nintendo has placed warnings about seizures in the back of the games and in the consumer booklets that come with each one of them, including the console itself. Over 1.5 million copies of Star Wars: Episode 1 were sold and they received no complaints about seizure attacks. Nintendo sold 1 million copies of Yoshi's Story and there was only one seizure complaint. Despite these facts the family still wants Nintendo to fund an anti-epilepsy campaign, rank all games according to their seizure risk, create an epilepsy refund program so that those who got seizures because of their games can get their money back.
This Law Suit should be in favor of Nintendo (they should win)! In the back of your GCN box, warnings are everywhere. Comment About This Here

That I don't know. I guess just by a doctor's report saying it is a seizure, but I really don't know anything too technical about it.

They won't lose any money or customers.. it specifically says in the hardware, AND game manuals: WARNING - Seizures - Some people (about 1 in 4000) may have seizures or blackouts triggered by light flashes or patterns, such as while watching TV or playing video games, even if they have never had a seizure before.
- Anyone who has had a seizure, loss of awareness, or other sympton linked to and epileptic condition should consult a doctor before playing a video game.
- Parents should watch when their children play video games. Stop playing and consult a doctor if you or your child have any of the following symptoms:
Convulsions, Eye of muscle twitching, Loss of awareness, Altered vision, Involuntary movements, Disorientation. It's the family's fault for NOT reading the warning labels, and/or not taking them into consideration. The family won't get anything for not heeding/reading any warnings.
