Want To Know Why Geist is one of my most wanted games of the year? Read:
You control a sinister poltergeist who isn't opposed to possessing the bodies of the living and using their weapons to blow away anybody in his path. After being murdered in a prison, your spirit is free to haunt the walls of the grungy institute and scare the living daylights out of those unfortunate enough to share it with you. You can take control of humans, dogs, rats, and anything else that breaths as you make your way around the dark corridors, and you gain the memories of anybody or anything you inhabit. Need to gain access to a key-coded door? No problem -- just jump into the poor fool who guards it; he's bound to have that information. The eerie first-person shooter, complete with an original storyline and a deep multiplayer mode to boot, definitely has a compelling concept going for it. If developer N-Space can bring the technology powering the game up to the same level then this could be one of the surprise GameCube hits of the year.
