As if there isn't enough Nintendo news right now, Nintendo of Europe has slipped up and posted the following on their site: "...and the lure of the online mode, Mario Tennis is set to soar onto Nintendo GameCube in 2005." Source: NOE's Mario Tennis Preview So, it looks like the Big N will be entering the online gaming world sometime next year. I think this is great news. First the DS has Wi-Fi and then GameCube is going online... It can't get much better than this! I hope Nintendo sticks with its original plan of free online gaming (Mr. Iwata once stated that online gaming should be free). What do you guys think of this?

It's cool... but I don't like Tennis of any sort. I can't wait to get the DS.. Wi-Fi + Future Pokemon Games = *drools* I would finally be able to trade and battle with other Pokemon trainers (which they will more and likely let you do)... can't do that here... no-one likes Pokemon... and I literally have no friends except my best friend (and that was basically proven yesterday)... but he's not into Pokemon.. just other Nintendo games...

Man, I've been waiting for Mario Tennis GCN for ages. It was one of my favorite games on the N64. Online would be awesome. It'd hafta be free, though, cause I doubt I could shell out $10 a month to play it.

A typo? That's a pretty big typo. I wonder if NOE was talking about the LAN mode...

I think several games would be awesome online.
SSB, F-Zero, and Mario Kart are the games I would get right away if they were online.

Well, Nintendo has given clues that Online is going GCN! (Ex. AOL signing with Nintendo). It turns out, maybe not.
Image a 16 player Zelda deathmatch! Blades Bleeding! Arrows Flying! Yea!
