Note: This thread was originally on the E3 2004 Board.
I just saw the trailer (thanks Masta) and figured that we needed a topic for it. It looks SWEET!! From what it looks like, it's not the strategy game that the GBA ones are, but more like a third person shooter. It looked like you're a soldier, but you can jump into various units and take control of them. In the trailer, you can control at least a tank and a gunship.

I haven't seen the trailer yet, but the screens made it look kinda like a RTS. I suppose it isn't if what you say is right, though. I'm gonna wait until I hear more on this one before I make a decision.

It looked almost Starfox, except on the ground it's like Zelda.....sorta...watch it for yourself.....

anyway
it seems really cool. i wonder if it will generate the same fans, even though it's a different genre.
in the video clip, there's always guys flying all over the place.

I watched a video clip last night and I'm pretty surprised. AW: Under Fire seems like a third-person shooter, oppose to the RPG/Strategy of the GBA Advance Wars games. *shrugs* It still looks pretty cool.
