I don't know what he saw, but it wasn't PM2. That doesn't come out until October.

Paper Mario 2 is expected to ship this fall (probally october).
Your brother may have indeed seen Paper Mario 2, but that was probally just Box art on display for preorders...

Paper Mario 2 is not coming out until October of this year. He probably saw a "Coming Soon - Preorder Today!" PM2 box.
