Well,if you want to read a short post,GI stupidly gave PM2 a 6 out of 10.I know,you are saying it is their opinion.
But their reasons,have got to be the stupidest reasons to hate a game ever.They gave it that score because of the dialogue,and the shops.
Now,coincidentally,my brother also got his EGM today.
It got a 9.0 from all of them,and deservingly game of the month.They on the otherhand,said the dialogue was witty and clever,and didn't even mention the shops.
Oh yeah,and the GI thing,lets just say they are so stupid,they gave Leisure Suit larry a better score than PM2 *coughpervertscough*

I know, Ive read ALOT of things about this  The score was actually 6.75 btw Well, Gamespy scored it a 4/5, Gamestop gave it 9.2, and I believe IGN gave it a 9.1 |

I've heard a lot of odd things about GI's Paper Mario 2 score... But, the only thing I can say is that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

yeah,I think sonic has a point.
If we all listened to GI,we'd be perverts,every last one of us.
Ok,they shouldn't review a game bad because they think the public won't like it because it is "kiddy",they gave Animal Crossing a great score,and I don't know about what you think,but that game did look pretty childish,and it became outrageously popular.I didn't know there would be controversy outside of these forums and other Nintendo forums,so I say,that it is time that GI goes down for all its stupid reasons for giving games bad scores.

I own PM2 and I can say, the dialogue is good and pretty much everything is good. Im inpressed.

Another thing is that they reivewed both Bloodrayne 2 and leisure suit larry in that issue and after thouse PM2 proubly flet stupid

heh,don't worry,I'm forgiving....as far as you know.
I got to play the demo today...again.
The demo definetely shows me that the dialogue is excellent,and witty...the Goomba girl's smart allecky talk is enough just to buy the game.

Well, yeah, it does feel odd that they scored a great game low, but I read from the source that they don't entirely score it on their own personal opinions, they also rate it at how the public may feel. They may rate games they hate high because the public will like it and vice versa, and after this now you may understand that they thought the public may not buy into it, cause after all, the first wasn't a MAJOR success. But anyway, if you like it alot, what does it matter to you? You may have loved it or KNOW it will be an excellent add on to your collection, so will it really matter all that much if GI scores a game low? I certainly wouldn't care. I bought MegaMan X Command Mission (and liked it alot) despite the fact that GI gave the game a 6. So, not trying to be mean, but it doesn't matter if a game scores low when you know it doesn't deserve that rating. If you think it's good, then great, you like it! Screw GI if you so choose to!

When I hear mixed reviews like this I just trust Game Rankings. According to GR, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has an average ratio of 89% from 41 media outlets. It's also ranked a suprising #4 on all games released for the GCN this year. Sounds solid to me.  I have the game, and I'm about 3 hours in. I would have to give it at least a 9.0 from what I've played. Now, I do have to admit that the dialogue is not exactly funny, but it is clever, I have to give it that. |

I thought the dialogue was well thought out and funny at times. I beat the game earlier this month and I was very happy with it. I definitly don't think it deserved a 6/10... Doesn't matter to me all that much, I only read Gamespot and IGN reviews.
