Well, I was playing SSBM, like I usually do. I was bored, so I decided to do the HRC. Then, I don't understand how, but I managed to beat my previous record by 150m (492 ft)!
My record is 556.7m (1826.4 ft) with Ganondorf.
Okay, I'll give a quick tutorial to how to get over 450m (1476.4 ft).
Surprisingly, to get this you won't use the Home Run Bat (hehe, rejected in its own contest ).
Roy
Go up to the sand bag and keep using Up Smash until there's about 5 seconds left. Usually, you'll be able to deliver 3 Up smashes. The Sang Bag's damageshould be 50-70%. Now, simply charge the Flare Blade (B) until Roy blows the sandbag away. My best score with this strategy was 451.6m.
Ganondorf
Okay, this one's a lot harder than Roy's one, but far more effective.
Go up to the sandbag, use a fully charged Up Smash. Jump, pin the bag on the ground with Aerial Down (if the sandbag flies up, it's still fine, but you'll have a smaller chance of success). Now, use another Up Smash, but this time only about a quarter charged. The Sandbag's damage should be 113-117%. Now, use a Warlock Punch (B) with about a quater of a second to go. If the timing is right, then your attack will do 32% instead of 30%. If the timing is dead on, it'll do 34%. It'll make a massive difference if you do 30% or 32%, and even more distance with 34%. Thus, when I tried my final damage was 151%, carrying the sandbag 1826.4 ft.
Well, hope it helps. But, this wasn't the main topic. What's everyone's best scores?
