Yeah, that giant Best Seller logo is really annoying. It would have been much better if Nintendo made it a sticker. Oh no I cant see Mario's foot*rolls eyes*

While the EB Games chart gives us a good idea of what's selling well, it doesn't show us the overall best selling game of the week (or month). I'm going to wait for the NPD sales charts before I worry about RE4 losing steam.

It makes me mad when people say "Gamecube sucks because there aren't enough bloody/gory/mature games for it. Hmm...well whos fault is that?
Damn game developers. Grr.

The game developers just send there game to consoles where they know they will get buisness. If they don't get profit on a console, then the developers lose money.

The game developers just send there game to consoles where they know they will get buisness. If they don't get profit on a console, then the developers lose money. Exactly. PS2 and Xbox are a little more profitable for these type of games, because there are more gamers that fit the need. Nothing to get to worried about, last time I checked GCN has about 30 to 40 mature titles, including the covenant RE4. I don't think RE4 is doing so bad, but it's just that most who wanted the game have it by now. It's basically owned by everybody. But, it still isn't losing steam; Here's how stores rank: 1: Wal-Mart 2: GameStop 3: EB Games According to SEGA Sage, a mod at the SEGA forums, he has a friend who is a Sony representative, and he says a good fraction of Sony profits come from Wal-Mart, which should mean that not only are PS2 games sold there. And Sage works at GameStop, and he knows GameStop is faring better than EB; not by much, but it is. And most likely it'd be selling at GameStop. Wal-Mart, possibly, I haven't seen much of them though. So it really shouldn't be, it's been doing well, and for EB, it was most likely the #1 game of January 2005, with about 3 weeks of being on the charts. So GameStop should've seen similar results, and Wal-Mart should see some fair sales of the game.

RE4 deserves to sell, it'd be a shame if it sold less than games like Luigi's Mansion and Mario Party.

Exactly, it just looks like it was slapped on there in two seconds..also it is kinda odd to do something like that only a month after the game has been released. =/ But maybe it's just something about the big ugly font that it says "Best Seller" on and the even uglier gold stamp. Maybe I wouldn't mind if it had looked similiar to the Nintendo Seal of Quality and hadn't been so huge. It just sticks out.

At SEGA, some guy's GCN got stolen, along with his RE4, and numerous other games. He seems to tell clues that the robbers knew exactly what they were looking for (he says his Xbox was still there, not touched, the 30 dollars that was left under his GCN was still there, etc etc). Funny how mine wasn't stolen the night of my parents' robbery... I mean it, all my controllers, memory cards, games, GBP, Screen, EVERY BIT OF my equipment was there... yet I didn't have RE4 so I probably bet these dudes didn't want it . EDIT: That list has yet again been updated (http://www5e.biglobe.ne.jp/~hokora/gcrank.html), and RE4 is there; but for some reason, US Sales haven't been posted; just Japanese sales. They never stop leaving us in suspense... Nothing new besides that RE4 was added, pretty much.

Shouldn't Enter the Matrix be on that list? That game has sold over 2.5 million copies, though I'm not entirely sure how many are for the Cube version exclusively. I'm almost positive it has hit a million though...doesn't that make it a Player's Choice game, which it is?

I don't know the exact number, but most Player's Choice titles haven't hit a million yet.

That's as many units F-Zero GX sold, and it's a Player's Choice title. So EtM definitely is on the list. Just, not on the Japanese charts. I'm sure if you look at the numbers in the American version you'll see EtM there.
