Yeah, I can tell you have a lot of of faith in VQ. Is it because it's a Sega game, Mr. Sega Fanboy? Well, partly. I had faith in the game even before I decided to convert.

Convert, huh? I think that deep down, you were always a Sega fanboy. I've had an interest in SEGA ever since I played Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast I got for Christmas. And if you don't know, I'm SEGAGURU on NSider. I don't really go there, it's not on my mind often, and most members are biased, low IQ fanboys. They just don't know when to shut up... not you though; you simply are a fan. Biased towards a company, but not to the point where you cuddle up and sleep with it. And my God, people actually do that o.o... But yeah. I've decided that if I only have the money for one game, I'm probably going to pass up VQ for later. The brand new DS sort of got in the way of my birthday, and now I don't think I want too many GCN games as of now. Just DS games

But, you're like that with Sega... So, we're equal.

Yeah, I'm a little obsessive when it comes to Nintendo. But, you're like that with Sega... So, we're equal. At least we aren't in a console debate... I hate arguing about that stuff. It's all a matter of opinion! You can't have a wrong opinion, so why debate it? Just like Metroid Prime and Halo; at heart, both are highly different games. So, why are you comparing what they both have in common? They only have one thing in common really: They're in first person format. And back to RPGs; I've decided to hold on that Virtua Quest. Thanks to my DS, now I want DS games early. So I'll put VQ off to the Summertime, and if that means it gets pulled off shelves in time, well, it's my fault. I got penalized for wanting to make my DS library a little better than it is <_< I wish Puyo Pop Fever DS got launched over here. I'm never able to find the GCN version, ever since it launched it's been nowhere.

Not really if you ask me. It's funny, but not really epic, thrilling, or emotional like serious RPGs. PM2 is lighthearted and amusing, and that's why it's appealing. I don't think that why something is appealing should deter from the value of a game, personally. I mean, if you have a blast playing a game, you can't say it didn't count just because it was "funny," can you? I know I couldn't. Whatever the reason for enjoying a game, whether graphics, story, "lightheartedness," gameplay, etc., I still think that a good time is a good time. IMHO, an RPG doesn't have to have a serious storyline to be good. As for the best RPG, I dunno. I still haven't played BK or ToS too much, so PM:TT-YD is still my favorite so far.

I'm not saying PM2 is bad. Just, I think storyline makes an RPG, and while PM2 does have funny cutscenes, the story overall is cliched. Nothing new about the plot, other than the humor.
