The original Metroid Prime was more revolutionary. But, Prime 2 managed to fine-tune everything. So, I'm going to say that both of them were great.

I cant really vote. I actually never got around to finish MP1, and only played MP2 up to the first save point.

I rented Prime 1 and I have the demo for Prime 2. I liked the demo a whole lot more than where I got to on the first one.

They are both great.
That reminds me... I gotta start playing MP2 again... I just sorta stopped all of a sudden...

Prime 2 was better. It not only fine-tuned everything from the first game but added a great atmosphere and cool gameplay mechanics dealing with the light/dark worlds. I loved Prime 1, but Prime 2 was perfection.

Neither. I'm one of the few people out there that hates both Prime and Prime 2. It's probably the worst 2D-to-3D conversion of any Nintendo franchise, aside from Donkey Kong.
