Well, it turns out us Zelda fans will have to wait a little longer for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It seems that the game is being delayed till after March 2006 ( Source). Nintendo states that they put quality first, and will use the extra time (about five months worth) to make it better. The news channel I first heard it on said that there might be more levels (dungeons), but I have not found the article on their site. On the plus side, Nintendo released seven new screenshots. Click here. I think the new town looks awesome.

I was looking forward to playing Zelda when it came out in November, but I guess I'll have a wait a little longer... Honestly, if the developers need more time, that's fine by me. As nice as it would have been to see Twilight Princess come out this holiday season, I'm willing to wait for the better game. As for those new screenshots, they look great. The town shots are really cool. Well, except for the 2D tree in the top-left corner of the town square picture.

To be honest, the delay is not a big deal to me, really(After all, Nintendo has dealt with delaying games before). As much as I want to play TP for the holidays, i'm sure Nintendo wants to make TP a very qualty Zelda game with no flaws whatsoever. I can look forward to the other stuff Nintendo has plans for this years holidays to keep me busy till TP comes out in 06: "Nintendo Wi-Fi connection", Geist, Mario Kart DS, GBM, any other third-party title, etc.

"We need time to make the game better" is the excuse for delaying every game for the most part. They aren't going to tell you anything else.
I wouldn't mind it coming out next summer... I'll have more free time to play it then.

Well, let's see... I've already reserved Shadow the Hedgehog and Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, both of which come out this year. But my Zelda reservation is now in check. This just means that I can pick up Mario Kart DS and Ultimate Spiderman by the end of this year, then next year, I can pick up Mario Mix: DDR and Zelda. And of course, the Reolution, along with Mario Next, SSB 3, and any other interesting launch title.

They should just make it a rev launch title at this point.

Nah, I still think it should be released on the GameCube. It would be a fitting finale to a great system.
Personally, I don't mind them delaying and improving the game. It'll just turn out better than those other POS games that dominate Sony and Microsoft.
LOL about that 2D tree. Did you ever take a close look at the trees in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle? There the same.

They should just make it a rev launch title at this point. It does make sense to beef up the graphics and turn it into a Revolution launch title. I'm sure that would help the system have a successful launch. But, if Nintendo wants to get make more money, I think Twilight Princess should stay on GameCube. By doing that, Nintendo is not only selling the game to people that own GameCubes, but thanks to Revolution's backward compatibility, Nintendo can also market the game to people who purchased a Revolution. LOL about that 2D tree. Did you ever take a close look at the trees in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle? There the same. Yeah, but Zelda's 2D tree stands out more.

The problem is one will still need to purchase the Revolution to unlock them if any.

Maybe they are adding bonus features that can be unlocked on the Revolution? That would be really cool. Not only would it be a nice reward for Nintendo fans who will own both a GameCube and a Revolution, but it will also be an incentive for new Revolution owners who don't own a 'Cube to buy Twilight Princess.
