Reggie appeared on Spike TV today, and this is the interview. SpikeTV: So let's talk about Zelda, by the way. Reggie: Sure. SpikeTV: Zelda: Twilight Princess. Talk about taking some names. So let's take that name Zelda. What's up with that, when's it coming out? Reggie: It's coming out this fall, it's coming out on Gamecube. There's been a lot of speculation, people think we're holding it back or that' it's gonna be launched just on Revolution. I'm telling you people, it's not true. It's gonna be on Gamecube, it's gonna come out in the fall. SpikeTV: Is it gonna be on Gamecube AND Revolution? Reggie: It's gonna be on Gamecube. The thing about Revolution is that it will take a Gamecube standard disc. So while it is going to be a title for Gamecube, Twilight Princess, you will be able to play it on Revolution. SpikeTV: So what will there be, will there be an add-on. Will we have a sword fight on Revolution or anything? Reggie: You know, it's a great idea. We should talk to Miyamoto about it but, you know, right now the focus is really getting it out on Gamecube. www.planetgamecube.com/newsArt.cfm?artid=11109

This is news. I always thought it was fall even from the first delay. Looks like Zelda is joining the select few as a three-peat at E3.

Don't forget Eternal Darkness and Star Fox Adventures are in the 4-peat category. ;D

It really isn't another delay when you think about it. They said that it was delayed and that they would give us a date after the fiscal year ended. That should be a big enough clue that they're waiting until E3, add to that the few months they'll take to hype it up and you have a September release at the earliest. They'll launch it right around the time of Revolution so that they can sell a new system to people who want Zelda.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Like Dan said, Nintendo never said Zelda would be out before Fall. All they said was that it would be out after March. That could mean pretty much anything.

Yeah, it's not really a huge surprise. Still, there were big-time Nintendo backers out there (especially at IGN) who still held out hope that since Nintendo hasn't said anything, it was still coming out in April-June. This just confirms it is coming out in the fall, officially.
