you are lucky, but dont ever think that ruben is using his GC for just regular game play, it set on fire yes, but because he over used it playing tales of syphonia for 48hrs straight. he also set his computer on fire, because he is an idiot, and also because he was messing around with the power box.

My Gamecube is old, so it gets dusty pretty quickly... I end up having to clean it once a week.

i dont faithfully clean my consoles like i should, but i faithfully clean my pc every month though.

I happens to me too, but only for one game: F-Zero GX (it's badly scratched, pre-owned you see) so I have to take it in and out about 5 times then it works.
The Nintendo Wii has no problems with it though.
