The GameCube has been dead since early 2004. With the exception of Metroid Prime 2, Paper Mario and Resident Evil 4, there hasn't been a whole lot keeping me from playing my Nintendo DS, PS2 and Xbox.

Anyway, I've been playing Wario World for the past week. So I'll say that the GCN isn't so dead, as long as you can pick up a game you like that you missed by years ago. But yeah, if you've been able to keep up with the Big N's toybox, sure, it's deed.

By your definition of "dead" though, virtually anything would still be "alive" (NES, Atari....N-Gage) just because people play them. Wario World has been out for years now. By "dead", I think most people mean it hasn't seen a good release in....years (other than the few I mentioned). People may still PLAY the GCN, they just don't buy GCN games and publishers don't release them either.

Secondly, the Gamecube isn't THAT dead. It currently has Twilight Princess Baten Kaitos Origins Donkey Kong (Something, I forget what it is now) Super Paper Mario Besides that, the one console that's REALLY dead is the Xbox. At least there are still gonna be Gamecube exclusive games released this year.

Yay! I was actually awake enough to make a decent point! So I take it that, in an earlier post, your "Xbox" is really an X360? I'm still debating whether to get one of those or wait until Sony decides to lower that insane price tag on their PS3.

Xbox is pretty much dead, but it's not much worse than the Gamecube. The Gamecube has even fewer games, the Xbox just doesn't really have any exclusives for it. The Xbox kinda died shortly after the Xbox360 came out and stole it's thunder.

The Xbox has been dead since about a month before the 360's release. At least the Cube is gonna have a handful of exclusives before the Wii is released. Besides, it isn't like the PS2 has great exclusives coming out near the end of its lifecycle. It has about roughly the same number as the Cube's exclusive lineup: Okami, Final Fantasy XII, Tales of the Abyss, and quite possibly God of War 2 (Just don't put sex minigames in it...please. Seriously something I don't want to play). So that would make four for four, while Big Black (The old Xbox) has squat exclusives.

No, I don't have (or plan to get) a Xbox 360. Nothing about the system makes it worth $400.
