Wow, I just really got into this game a couple weeks ago, and I can't put it down now! xD Let me explain:
I bought Fire Emblem a couple months ago, following the advice of a friend. It was back in March I believe, and I was currently obsessed with FFTA. Well, when I finally did finish FFTA, I started playing my newly purchased Fire Emblem. I wasn't too taken with it, only got up to chapter 12 and stopped playing due to the lack of interest I had in it. Why did I ever do that?!?! xD
For the first time ever, being bored was a good thing sometime a few weeks back, when I decided to try out FE again. I started a new game, and proceded to playing it. But, this time around, I really got into the game. I had not realized the genious Fire Emblem had in it before, being so wrapped up in other games. I hadn't seen how cool the wide variety of weapons, items, character jobs, etc were before, nor taken note of the fascinating storyline and detailed character sprites. And this was just the beginning stage of the game, where you were still learning how to use every incredible aspect of it.
Once I beat out Lyn's big role in the game (chapters 1-10), the game got drasticly better. The storyline became much more intruiging, throwing in background info about the land you are traveling about in the game, entering many new and old characters, and creating plot twists just about every chapter. Each character is very well developed, every one with its own unique personality and cool look (HECTOR!!!!). A vast amount of new character jobs and weapons are also introduced, from a Paladin wielding a silver spear, to a Mage blasting away at enemies with Fire and Thunder attacks. Just about everything was improved upon, and kept me playing at every spare moment.
The challenge level in the game was another thing that kept me playing and thirsting for more. Starting at the very first chapter, the game slowly got harder and harder. And this is just the basic challenge of each chapter, not even including other challenges you can set ofr yourself. Visiting every town and village while keeping your characters all alive and fighting isn't exactly easy, especially when you are also keeping the weaker ones out in front to keep up with the stronger allies in experience. xD The game is just limitlessly challenging, and doesn't get old.
In conclusion, I just want to say that I love Fire Emblem. Buy it if you haven't already! Feel free to discuss your experiences with Fire Emblem here.
