There are a few things about Random Nintendo 5.0 that are horribly wrong:* The site is geared in the half way point between Dial up and Cable/DSL/TI * The sites colors can get boring after a while *My pet peeve: having something incredibity old next to something new. * the navigation menu doesn't move down with you Here are some possible solutions:*Have a lite and heavy verison of a site. Lite targeting 56K modem users, while the heavy is targeting cable and DSL. * There should be a seasonal and time feature (which is possible) for the site's appearence. * sort things by age, especially reviews, don't jubble a review that was 2 years older than the one above it. * Frame the navigation bar and top bar. It is not hard, I could help if you asked me too..... This is what should happen and will happen! EDIT: I see you use a website generatior as it is... try this out www.macromedia.com/software/dreamweaver/you can ask for it for christmas!

I'm on dialup, but it loads up quick enough for me. I like the site colors, even if I'm not much for an olive green-like color. If you don't like them, then don't visit the site. Period. Seriously, if JSR changed the site's theme colors, then he would have to change the forum's theme colors. Plus, the navigation menu doesn't need to scroll with you. It's pointless, and it slows a browser down. And "will happen"? Excuse me, but last time i friggin' checked, you weren't the admin and webmaster of Random Nintendo. You don't have a say in what will happen and what will not happen.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE IT SO f**kIN SERIOUSLY! anyway according to this... This means that there are unsuful codes in this script...

Thanks for the feedback. Here are are my responses: * The site is geared in the half way point between Dial up and Cable/DSL/TI How is it geared to DSL and/or Cable? RN loads without a problem on the 56k connection at my school. * The sites colors can get boring after a while In my opinion, any site's look will get boring after a while. That's why sites change their layouts every once in a while. However, I don't have any current plans to redo RN. But, I might change the color scheme if I ever do RN 6.0. *My pet peeve: having something incredibity old next to something new. Uh... What do you mean by that? * the navigation menu doesn't move down with you That requires JavaScript, which causes slower load times. Plus, it looks a little weird, in my opinion. *Have a lite and heavy verison of a site. Lite targeting 56K modem users, while the heavy is targeting cable and DSL. Like I said before, the layout causes no problems on the 56k connection at my school. So, I don't think I need to invest the time in making two different layouts for RN. There should be a seasonal and time feature (which is possible) for the site's appearence. Obviously, when I redo the layout (which does happen from time to time; but, I don't have any current plans to change it), the site's colors and set-up change. I don't want to change things too much, or else it'll seem like RN doesn't have a set look or identity. sort things by age, especially reviews, don't jubble a review that was 2 years older than the one above it. All reviews (and previews, wallpapers, Fake Games, etc.) are listed in the order they're posted in... Newest to oldest. * Frame the navigation bar and top bar. It is not hard, I could help if you asked me too..... The second version of RN used frames and honestly, it looked pretty bad. It chops up the site and makes things more tedious for visitors (they have to scroll each part separately).
Once again, thanks for the feedback, Superlink. I appreciate it.

Some things must be considered sooner or later:
*difficulty loading times on older and/or low memory computers *Archive needs to take place sometime in 2005....

Actually, it's technically not feedback if you say something like "This is what should happen and will happen!" Sounds more like something that's FORCED. Yes.. you want some things to change, but honestly, saying "it will happen" isn't really the best way on getting someone to change something.

Superlink: Although we love the feedback you have just given us, you must understand that this is JSR's vision. Thanks for the feedback

There isn't enough content to make an archive worthwhile, lol. As for load times, I really don't think it's that bad... On average, how long does it take for RN to load on your computer?

It takes about a minute or 2 for me to load up a page, depending on if I've been there recently or not.. (the whole cache thing). But it's no problem. I can look or do something while I'm waiting. <<

It takes up 2 seconds.
I would say it's your fault you used up all of your computer's memory.

I would agree, my computer slowed down like a turtle with I had too many files.
Try to clean your desktop up too.
