Alright, so I have come BACK. I only have 1 more day of work and school gets out on June 4th. Anyways, I have come back and... and... and... this place hasn't changed. WHERE are all of the MEMBERS? New updates? Have the MODs given up too? Come on people, wake up, RN needs to be SAVED!

I log in and see that the off-topic bored is the only thing updated every bloody day, so thanks for putting a stop to that.
Personally I think some advertising is in order, spread the word to other forums and such.

Clash raises an interesting point. I haven't seen the mods around here lately... Dan and Richard were the most frequent visiting mods, but they aren't anywhere anymore.
King of Evil seems to be going off and on. Shiva and Panique rarely poke their heads out of the caves. A lot of our old members, like conorsla and Agent Smith, haven't shown their faces in so long, I'm often tricked into thinking they're dead.
And where's Gray been off to, the twerp?
It's true: RN has been abandoned. All except for Symphonic, Lorris, NormalGamer, myself, and apparently the Clash now.

I say that KoE and Pilgrim John would also make good MODs as long as the site is going to be lively again. |

Well, I showed the place to one of my friends, and he thought that the activities and the posters were all stupid. ;_; That's his idea anyway. There's really nothing that'll change that, since it's our personality and all, and personally I think it's fun at times, but to each his own.
Advertising's our last hope. Even I'm beginning to have second thoughts about continuously coming here. We need to have some collaborative effort in order to make this place not be so boring, or I'm outta here.

I've been trying to be more active here. But ya know.. it sucks being outnumbered by you males. Plus.. after the whole spamfest in the off-topic board in the past.. it did kinda put me off after I had to disappear from this place.
But I might disappear again if none of the mods become as active as they used to be. I hate forums with inactive mods, and unless I can help, I refuse to stay if something does by chance happen. If I can't do my part to straighten people up properly when others are inactive (as in ban when needed, or lock threads, ect.).. I just don't like staying.
I wouldn't mind becoming a mod as well. I have major experience from a well-known Pokemon forum that I moderate, and have been moderating for over 3yrs. I'm one of the more active mods there, I moderate more than I actually go around posting.. o.o;; But we do have alot of idiots there too.. so eh.

I used to be a MOD for some small game unions and have been Admin for a forum which is long gone due to not having enough members.

I think it'd be a step in the right direction to elect some of us as mods. The actual mods don't really even post news on the actual site, let alone on the boards. It'd probably be a good idea to pass the torch on to some of the other members here.

I agree with Symphonic. Seriously, we have tried to revitalize the site, but we the members need leaders.
"Ask not what your forum can do for you, but what you can do for your forum."
This approach has failed. The forum and site have been abandoned by the MODs, the ADMINs, and the reviewers, thus the members dwindle away.
I believe that Pilgrim John, Symphonic, Shiva, King of Evil, Normal Gamer, and I; we each have the capabilities, dedication, and skills to help fix this derelict ship.

Hey Guys, I know how you feel. Lately it has not only been the forums, but the site that has suffered from a lack of activity and original content. Although a lot of staff members (including myself) are busy with school and such, I realize that is no excuse to completely abandon the site or the forums. I think once summer hits the RN staff can get together and really think about how to revitalize the site and bring some more people into the RN community. In the meantime, we really appreciate the continued support from you guys. Sorry about the recent lack of content, we will try our best to remedy that and by doing so get some more members on the board for you guys to argue with  . I am also hoping to be spending a lot more time here after my recent prolonged absence. Good to see you guys are still keeping the forums alive (and with noticeably less useless posts than when I left). |

Sorry for disappearing, guys. Richard is pretty much dead on, though. As bad of an excuse as it might be, school has been keeping many RN staffers and mods, including myself, away from the site and forums. I'm really hoping to make RN more active this summer. And you never know, some big updates may finally see the light of day.
