Ok, generally, when I get a game, I want to know about it before I buy it (I mean, $50 a LOT.) But nowadays, games seem to be kept under wraps until they come out, or have very little time to give info. Anyone else see this trend?

Yes it is annoying. And then we have to wait for reviews or take the risk. And I've noticed it happen to like with Tales of Ledgendia, which made a mystery no appear at E3...

I've noticed this too. It seems like game companies are not releasing most of the information on their games until right before the title is released... Maybe it's a really bad attempt at hyping the game up? People will start speculating about the game and make it sound way better than it actually is.

I'm right there, man. I hated it when Capcom wouldn't tell anyone much about Killer7. Then, I bought the game and played it. It didn't suck, but my parents had heard everything from "People explode in gallons of blood" to "You have to have sex with this one guy in order to advance in the game" (That little tidbit is why my dad thinks I'm gay, even though I'm not). The first one is true, but the other isn't. Even so, my parents knew absolutely nothing about the game besides that it's controversial, and all this could have been avoided if Capcom had just dropped some good, clean, not-false news on the game (Gamecube exclusive, my ass!).

It's a marketing technique. They figure people will still buy the game and if they don't like they stil get the money for it. But I do see your point.
